Jetwing Warwick Gardens, A Luxury Reserve

Ever since we came to JWG in 2024, it has grown to become a sort of second home for my family. This marking our second visit, we felt a sense of familiarity given that we remember most of the staff (Vigi, Ruba and Thiyaga). From wholesome food to stunning views (not to mention blessings from the weather gods) it was possible to literarily sit in one place for hours in one place and do nothing but drink coffee and tea. Not forgetting that the bungalow is accessible by car makes it less of a headache (not accounting for driving skill :)) Celebrating the dawn of the new year with the JWG team and their family is also a nice touch. See you next year :)

What a delightful destination. A Scottish style Edwardian House in the middle of Sri Lanka. We were warmly welcomed by Ruba, who met us and transported our luggage to our room. He made tea and explained details that we needed for our stay. The 'Warwick' room was spacious and the bed was so comfortable. The bathroom offered a super bath as well as a shower. The views from the windows were magnificent. There was an excellent choice of food, all served by Ruba with such gracefulness. On our second day, Ruba offered us a guided tour of the tea plantation around the hillside, where village houses, a school and fields/allotments are sited. He also informed us of the history of Warwick Gardens and showed us the tea factory. It was all very interesting. The gardens of the house are immaculate and all was very peaceful. Ruba was a magnificent host and I am sure that he will go far in his ambitions within Hotel Management, and even in his desire to play cricket. Thank you for your hospitality, a truly memorable experience.

Wonderful location, very peaceful setting. We were very well looked after by the staff, especially Ruba who took us on an interesting walk around the area. Food was beautifully presented and very tasty. Try and get an Upstairs bedroom if you can. The housekeeper, Meena, was also delightful.
