The H Boutique Hotel

Waited longer than expected to have our order taken. Cakes came before hot drinks. One scone fell apart, one was frozen solid. Clotted cream was frozen solid. When it came back the scone had been microwaved rather than just given a non frozen one and the cream had been in the microwave and fully melted warm rather than given one that hadn’t been at the back of the fridge. Appalling! Avoid at all costs.

Forget the rest , stay at the best. We stayed for 1 night in the Hathersage room which was modern, clean and awesomely comfortable. Plenty of room to spread out and chill , the bed was v nice 😀 David , the owner, was fantastic and helpful (kudos) nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely so don’t miss that. Parking can be a pain, it’s a public car park across the road so you have to keep feeding the beast via the app. All in all, top stay! Would I go back? Absolutely!

We have just enjoyed a lovely break in this hotel . The standards are excellent and the food for our evening meal was fantastic and excellent value for money. The room was beautiful and so comfortable.Beds and pillows so comfortable and lovely bed linen with soft fluffy towels. The air con was a real treat too . David was so accommodating and so helpful with excellent customer service skills . Nothing was too much trouble. Brilliant location and no body’s at all at night time . Would definitely recommend

Popped into the coffee lounge yesterday for a pit stop while out enjoying Bakewell. My partner ordered an Americano and i a flat white. Both coffees were the absolute worst coffee iv ever tasted. They were luke warm at best, mine has bits of ground beans in it and tasted like it had been poured out of the drip tray, microwaved for 3 seconds and some frothy milk dripped on top. Utterly disgraceful. We left our full cups on the table and left. Wont be going back.

I was immediately impressed by the hotel when upon booking we received very thorough details on local parking, and advice on booking restaurants nearby. On arrival in Bakewell we decided to explore the local area on a 10 mile walk, and at 3pm David called to let us know that the rooms were ready and to ask if we needed anything, had we been able to park ok etc. We were warmly greeted by David and shown to our rooms. They were both beautifully presented, bright and spacious. Generous bathrooms, white company toiletries. Very nice. Breakfast not included but a table was ready for our party and we paid for what we had. At £11 for a full english it was good value and finished the stay off nicely for us. Staff all very pleasant and accommodating.

Just popped in for a bite to eat in the restaurant at lunch time. The soup of the day was mushroom not our usual choice but when it tasted amazing with two brown rolls, best soup ever had. I had jacket potatoe with cheese and beans, husband had chilli both came with side salad, the potatoes were cooked beautifully. The service was quick and staff friendly and professional. Will definitely be returning next time we visit Bakewell😊well worth 5 stars 🌟
