Review of Royal Purnama Hotel Stay (2 Nights)
During my recent two-night stay at the Royal Purnama, a supposed 5-star hotel, I encountered several issues that significantly impacted my experience:
1. Unprofessional Handling of Guest Policy: At 11 PM, a staff member aggressively demanded that our guest leave or we pay an additional fee. The confrontation occurred loudly from downstairs while I was upstairs, creating an embarrassing situation. Given the hotel’s 5-star rating and my prepaid booking, this could have been addressed discreetly the next morning. The lack of tact was disappointing and made me question the caliber of their clientele management.
2. Inadequate Mini Bar Service: The mini bar was refilled only every four days, despite paying the same nightly rate. This policy feels inconsistent with the expectations of a luxury hotel and unfairly limits guest convenience.
3. Poor Service for Robe Replacement: When I requested replacement robes, staff insisted I bring the used ones downstairs myself. After I refused and asked them to keep the new robes, they reluctantly complied. This interaction felt more aligned with a lower-tier establishment.
While the hotel has some redeeming qualities, these experiences reflect a 3-star level of service rather than the advertised 5-star standard. Improvements in staff professionalism, guest policies, and basic amenities are needed to justify their rating.
