Umadewi Surf & Retreat

Best place to stay in Umadewi. We are a family of three with a 7 month old baby. The space, palm trees, lush green grass and views are all spectacular. All the staff were incredibly friendly and make the effort to greet you by your first name. They were also so good with our baby. The design of the hotel is simple and it maintains a minimalist approach by maximising the space and open areas which gives a wonderful feeling of freedom and openness. We also stayed at Bombora across the road and when we come back to Medewi we will without doubt stay at Umadewi. The only thing that Bombora has over Umadewi is their infinity pool. We stayed 5 nights and had every meal at the restaurant and were never disappointed with the meals. Paradise found, especially if you surf. Endless entertainment watching the waves and can keep a close eye on the break to get it at optimal conditions.

Our experience at Umadewi Surf Retreat was magical. We had an ocean front view room that was big, beautiful, and peaceful. We stayed for 10 days and would have loved to be able to stay for longer. The staff is amazing, thoughtful, and kind. The restaurant has some great food, from breakfast to dinner, and it was all so tasty. We enjoyed to massages; again, the staff was so attentive and the massages were the best we have ever had in Bali. The pool is big and beautiful. We loved the location as there are a few other restaurants nearby it is easy to walk and go and try something different, having said that we always returned to the hotel restaurant. The only suggestion that I would made would be to have ''wine by the glass''. We will definitively return and we will tell our friends by in Perth Australia about this little gem of a place. Love the place and staff, a few issues with people reserving pool seats and only using them for 1 hour or so. We had an issue with bad smells eminating from the showers, staff were prompt in trying to fix it but the problem retuned after we had our showers

We stayed 6days at this hotel. We had a great time and we were able to surf well.
