Paloma Grida

Not a 5star hotel - book your holiday elsewhere! Sadly there are so many negatives. We tried to make the best of our holiday but I wish I’d booked another one of the many luxury hotels in Belek. We have been visiting Belek/Side area past 10 years,so I can failrly compare (Barut Hemera, all 3 Pappilons,TUI Magic life,etc.) It’s 3 star basic NOT 5 star luxury. Room Very old and very very very tired. Yes people say that you don’t spend a lot of time in them, but sadly we did (youngest one got highfever + still I didn’t expect Travel lodge basic standard when paying such high prices). Damaged and old furniture. Filthy floor, our feet were literally black after a few minutes barefoot walking. SHADY SMELLY MOULDY ROOMS. Swear to God I still can smell that sofa. Balcony door doesn’t close properly due to the warped wood and there is no way to sit on it. Not even mentioning the view (see photos). Bathroom was old and basicly disgusting. No bathmats in bathroom. No bathrobes or slippers. Aircon dreadful. Room keys continually stop working. Lumpy pillows. Poor cleaning. Definitely a lack of thorough clean before client changeover. Be aware of rooms near the entrance - not noisy, but smelly (sewage). Pros: Grounds are lovely, but quite poorly maintained paths (holes are challenging with a pram). In general -to have a pram in this hotel was a nightmare (a lots of stairs, elevator busy/not working, we had to walk around the whole complex to be able to reach the beach from our room. Kids friendly- but need to fix some slides and equipments. Bar alley was nice. Spa was well worth the price. Coffee was best in the beach bar, very friendly staff there too. General: DESPERATE NEED FOR REFURB!

Dårligt Det var en dårlig oplevelser, rengøring service var rigtige dårligt. Deres reception var virklige dårligt, personale smiller ikke. Der var myrer i værelset. Glemte håndklæder 3 dage i træk.. Deres badeværelser var dårligt.

Firstly three and a half as it was better than average! The Poloma is a large hotel set in large grounds with mature trees and shrubs, the grounds are very well maintained and a credit to the ground keepers. We travelled a a group of four, we stayed in the Villas, which were great, large lounge area leading to the swimming pool which was shared with six others. The room was well serviced however on our second week we did have to keep asking for a minibar restock. The cleaners were good. The other rooms I was less impressed with, they were quite dark inside, the balcony was pointless, one seat, no table, what’s the point? Restaurants: The main buffet restaurant offered good choice and the food was good, however a few times it was difficult to find a table (early sitting), this was midoctober! The a’la-cartes were good, the best one was the steak restaurant , however an extra charge is made for this one! The restaurant that was free to the Villa customers was excellent, breakfast was superb and the waitress was great! The Bars The Zoom bar was good some great waiters and waitresses no complaints there! The 18+ bar served the best drinks and again bar staff were good. The 24/7 bar was by far the worst, the bar staff muttering in Turkish when you asked for a cocktail! Very poor service, we avoided this bar it was so bad. The entertainment Good for kids although it was repetitive after a few days but the kids didn’t care ! The entertainment for adults was good, no complaints Belek town Well if you want to buy a handbag, purse or shoes this is the place! But not a great town I’m afraid , we did visit some restaurants and they were very good, but it didn’t have a restaurant ‘*****’ where you could walk up and chose one. In short the Poloma is a good hotel that IS getting renovated as we speak and will open in spring next year! I don’t think I will visit again, but I do not regret visiting! With so many hotels in the area I would look carefully at the options before booking. Oh yes a special mention to the lady on Guest Relations…Thank you! Die Anlage ist wirklich schön. Das Personal ist immer sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Endlich mal wieder ein Urlaub, bei dem es nichts zu meckern gab. Jederzeit war eine Kommunikation in deutsch möglich, aber immer mindestens in Englisch. Fazit wir kommen gerne wieder hier her, da es sich nicht um einen herkömmlichen Hotelkomplex handelt. Auf dem großzügig angelegten Gelände sind mehrere kleine Häuser verteilt. Vielen Dank Paloma Grida für einen schönen Urlaub.

This hotel is lovely especially kids club, my daughter has never been to a kids club before but really loves coming here everyday. The staff are lovely and friendly and my daughter loves them all she doesn’t want to leave I would definitely recommend!

Im Großen und Ganzen ein wirklich sehr schönes Hotel für junge Familien! Um die Kinder wird sich um Kids Club hervorragend gekümmert und die allgemeine Kinder Attraktionen sind mehr als genug. Das einzige war warum wir ein Punkt abgezogen haben war dass die Zimmer etwas mitgenommen waren, allerdings wurde uns mitgeteilt dass es während der saisonpause zur kompletten Renovierung kommt! Wir sind gespannt auf dass Jahr 2025!!
