"Good location only a 15 minute walk from BNS station. Single room was perfect for a solo traveller had everything you’d need, en-suite bathroom, toiletries & beverage tray. Good food served downstairs in the pub. "

"Everything is nice with loads of services. One minor thing is that the bathroom is the old kind of separate taps but that doesn’t bother a lot."

"The room didn't have any blinds, so getting to sleep at night without pitch darkness was challenging. Otherwise everything else was great, the room was spacious and clean, and the front of desk was clear, concise, and polite. There is a supermarket and bar nearby for food and drink. "

"The beds were ultra comfortable and I had the best night of sleep I’ve had in weeks. Room was small but unless you’re planning on spending a lot of time in the room, it was perfect. Bathroom was great, very clean and had a rain shower head which I loved. They didn’t really provide any toiletries other than hand wash and body wash, I had to buy my own shampoo and conditioner. There’s also no fridge/microwave, but there was tea and coffee with a kettle provided. I would definitely recommend and I would stay again."

"The room facilities are a bit old, but the sky bar on the roof of the hotel is very distinctive. Sitting by the window, you can overlook the whole city of Birmingham, and the night view is also very beautiful. Overall not bad"

"The hotel is very handy for gigs at the O2 Academy, as it is a short walk from there. Rooms are quite basic, though adequate for a one night stay. The washbasin in our room did not drain very well, but we managed. Also there is no wardrobe or even a rail to hang up clothes. There were two clothes/coat hooks near the door, but nothing else. We managed with hanging clothes on the back of a chair. However, these are minor issues and I would stay again."

"If you want to use the hot water, you need to turn on the boost button by the boiler 20 minutes before you want to use it. Apartment was great for 1-2 nights, but it was lacking in some facilities - the TV wasn't properly connected to the Internet so couldn't use iPlayer or Netflix on the TV. There was no baking tray or roasting tray to be able to use the oven. The grill pan was filthy. The cups had to all be washed again. The dishwasher worked great and so did the fridge/freezer. Nice amenities in terms of sofa, placemats, teapot. Only four teabags for two people for three days. Reception is not open on Saturday or Sunday. There is no one site, they do have books and dvds to borrow at reception, but no one is there at the weekend. It was in a great location. Would stay again. Lightbulbs needed changing in the bedroom in the lamps as they kept flickering. There was also a lightbulb that stopped working in the kitchen. Only one plastic cup given in bathroom. But absolutely perfect location for the price. Although, be warned the bedrooms are not sound proof, please bring earplugs as there is a lot of noise outdoors."

"This hotel is a bit old, the power outlet is old, but the bathroom is super super, equivalent to another room, breakfast is very good, you can order. The hotel is on the edge of St. Martin's Church, the city center."

"The hotel is centrally located in the city centre about 20 mins walk from the New Street railway station. Just next to Chinatown and the famous open and indoor market in Birmingham. The coach station is just 5 mins walk from the hotel. The kitchen and all the facilities in the room is good. All the staff are friendly, polite and helpful. My microwave was out of order one day and they replaced it in just 5 mins time. Really excellent and will definitely come back again."

"Lovely little room in the Chinese quarter in Birmingham. Very comfy bed and good wifi. A very good option if you’re conscious of keeping on a budget - probably the best option."
