We always recommend our guests rent a car to be fully flexible and independent. TURO is a good rental option for cars. In the winter the driveway can get icy as well as roads. We recommend a 4-wheel drive car during the winter season. NOTES: 🚨 TRAVEL INSURANCE Just a heads-up—Kodiak’s wild beauty comes with unpredictable weather! Flights and ferries are sometimes delayed or canceled due to fog, wind, or rough seas. We highly recommend travel insurance to protect your trip.
