"If you are looking for an unique stay and experience ”Hani” culture, I would highly recommend staying with the family. When I arrived, the host invited me for a hike through the ricefields to see the sunset, and afterwards I joined the family for a traditional dinner with local dishes, straight from their own garden. Especially as a solo traveller, I felt at home instantly and they will do everything to make your stay comfortable. The food is delicious, the room was spotless, and the host can recommend great places for hiking. Don't forget their delicious coffee and tea! One minor thing, when you go back to Kunming by bus, just make sure that the host reserves the bus ticket. I unexpectely had to change buses in Yuangyang because it was full. I would definitely come back, and their homestay is one of my highlights in China. Thank you again for the memorable stay and for welcoming me with open arms. See you next time!"

Location -- this is the main reason I choose the place. The rice terrace is in front of your room. Superb. There is rooftop to see sunrise too However, the place is not accessible for car. You need to park your car at car park around 300m from the hotel, call the hotel to pick up your luggage and you walk to the hotel by foot. It's not suitable for people with walking difficulties.
Service'-- toiletries are generous. Breakfast is great with various options. Rooms are cleaned daily with new top up of toiletries and slippers. We can do laundry too. Detergent are provided.
Why I give amenities 2 stars only? It's because I meed somewhere to give feedback on the room. I stayed for 3 nights at 2nd floor. There are 3 rooms of the same kind. However, my room has weird design. While the other two have perfect squarie room and spacious, our room, at thr most corner is smaller with bad design. There are wall built to cut off a space around 2x3 m. See pictures. It”s hard to put our luggage. There is sofa without tables. I suspect no space to add a table as it will block to walk way, not so confortable.

ممستخدم نزيلهذا جوهرة. الغرفة تبدو تماما مثل الصور. من الرائع صب الشاي في الستائر ومشاهدة تراس الأرز. بكل صراحة اعتبره من افضل الفنادق الي زرتها في حياتي بالحديث عن تاجير الأرز . يتميز هذا الفندق بقربة من الأماكن الحيوية مما يجعلك تشعر بلراحه كمان . اما عن موظفي الاستقبال فهوو يمتازون بحسن المعامله . من موظف الاستقبال الي مدير الفندق هناك شخص يتكلم العربية ويقول العربية لاسمح بدخول الأرز بدون اي رسوم. لذا في الأساس، لا تحصل على أي شيء أفضل من النظر إليها من غرفتك أو منصة المشاهدة فوق الفندق.
المشكلة الصغيرة فقط التي كانت موجودة -- الغرفة ليست كبيرة و مُحسنة للنظر بشكل جميل، لذلك لا توجد خزانة لوضع ملابسك.
يقدمون العشاء مقابل 50-60 CNY لكل طبق (جزء كبير) وهو لذيذ
الفطور رائع.
قام المدير بتنظيم سيارة خاصة لي عودة إلى هونغهاي بسعر معقول.

AAnna ShamaThe place is very worth visiting. The room is good equipped, everything is like on the photo. The host and stuff is very friendly by helping with luggage but the international tourists should be aware that the communication with host is available only be telephone in Chinese. It is necessary even for check-in and check-out. It can be not so easy. We were expected to get a little bit more information but you can get help only if you approach the host directly. It is easier to arrive because there are a lot of cars on the station in Xinjie, but it is more complicated to get back to the station. But it is possible to catch a car directly on the road for 30-40 yuan pro person. There are only few restaurants in the walking distance. A lot depends on the weather, without good weather the view is sadly very limited. Before arriving is recommended to take a look in the weather forecast!!

Stayed at hotel for 3 nights, great place to stay
View - great view of rice terraces from the balcony, the Duoyishi rice terraces are right in front of the hotel
Food - can eat at the hotel and there are other food places nearby within walking distance.
Service - Lady Boss very welcoming, friendly and cheerful, very helpful too. She is a great cook and barista. Lady Boss and her assistant looked after us very, very well.
Amenities - the hotel has stands fitted for mobile photography, heating and electric blankets were lovely, the weather was very cold during our stay. The food served by the hotel was very nice and very reasonably priced.
Location - conveniently located, other rice terraces are not too far away.
Conclusion - really enjoyed my stay at the hotel, hope I will have the chance to stay there again.
