Ty Glyndwr Bunkhouse, Bar and Cafe

This is such a unique place. If I'm in Caernarfon again I'll be going back to the Welsh/Thai fusion bar in the basement even if staying somewhere else. Owner is a friendly and memorable woman who makes great cocktails and food. The combo of Welsh and Southeast Asian aesthetics throughout the place was unexpected and cool. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean, location was good.

We were a party of six and block-booked an 8-bed dorm for three nights. From the very first email enquiring about our stay, we couldn’t have been looked after any better. Su, the owner, ensured everything ran seamlessly from start to finish. The breakfast selection was generous and covered all bases. Downstairs, the cellar cocktail bar and Thai restaurant looked lively and fun, and is definitely a spot worth checking out in its own right. Overall, it’s a great place to stay in the heart of vibrant, historic Caernarfon. It's also an ideal base for exploring the region: only 20 minutes by bus to the foot of the Snowdon trail and just a five-minute walk from the Welsh Highland Railway terminus.

Amazing Thai food from the best absolutely delicious food from su nice and cosy place will deffo recommend for anyone will deffo call again opt for the yellow curry ohh the flavour of every bite very nice different menu each day also takeaway optio

This review is about our Thai meal. What a find...the words cocktails and coffee led us in. However we decided against the coffee but opted for a fantastic pad thai, red curry and home made duck spring rolls. We were in heaven. Thank you for lovely service and a wonderful welcome.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was in close proximity to many restaurants and the Caerfarnon Castle.
