For an international brand, this is a no go. I booked a pick up service from the train station and got it confirmed by the hotel, but nobody showed up. Talking to the staff doesn't work if you cannot speak Chinese and in the room there is also no way to use the TV or entertainment system, because there is not a single word in English. Not even an englisch news channel or anything. I am used to that from Chinese brands, but from a Holiday Inn I would expect to have at least a little international set up.

Very convenient location for Changsha South Railway. Room clean and spacious. Laundry facilities and gym on 15th floor.
However, I was shocked at the lack of sound proofing between rooms. As someone who had chosen the hotel as I had an early train the next morning, I was continually woken up through the night by other guests returning. You can even hear fellow guests turning on / off their light switches in the neighbouring rooms…

It was a good location if you need to catch an early train the next day. Few minutes to the train station. Hotel breakfast was good. Receptionist at the lobby was helpful in arranging our transport to the train station.

The room was decent but the cleanliness is beyond subpar. I can feel the dust on my feet and the smell of cigarettes filled the room.
