After many years, I once again experienced staying at the domestic homestay - Baili Designer B&B, located in the ancient city of Datong. From the decoration style to the preparation of ingredients, to the brand logo that can be seen everywhere, I can feel that the boss is a very attentive and tasteful person. As a detail control, every time I stay in a hotel, I will wipe it with alcohol cotton first. Baili carefully prepared disinfectant cotton, face towels, and also equipped with Le Labo full set of toiletries, exquisite girls can lightly load. The ingredients are equally elegant, and the guests are not treated as outsiders. The table setting is also very suitable for young ladies to punch in and take pictures. When I finally checked out, there was a special car to Datong South Station. The environmentally friendly bag with the B&B logo was very fashionable. In addition to some local small specialties, I also put a wax letter...Although it is still being explored as a newly opened B&B, I also wish Baili to grow into a ”Xiao Anxu” in a domestic B&B. 🌷

The location is very convenient. Yungang Grottoes take a taxi for half an hour. Downstairs is the Southeast Shanghai Shopping Street. Crossing the road is the city wall of Datong Ancient City. You can ride a bicycle and walk around 8 kilometers! Huayan Temple and Kowloon Wall are very close. The highlight of our trip was definitely our stay at this guesthouse. Every single detail was impeccably handled. The guesthouse was spotless and well-maintained. The customizable breakfast was delicious, creating such a cozy atmosphere that we almost didn't want to leave at all. And the location? Absolutely unbeatable! Situated right in the heart of the ancient town, it's a peaceful oasis amidst the lively surroundings. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

Nianxiali Boutique Hotel, a perfect choice for detail control! This time, I stayed in the Nianxiali Boutique Hotel in Datong Ancient City, which completely exceeded my expectations! It not only has a superior geographical location (super convenient for visiting the ancient city), but also impressed me with the ubiquitous ”sense of refinement” and ”considerateness”, which made the whole accommodation experience full marks! The surprise started with washing my face: As soon as I entered the bathroom, I saw the bear thick cotton towel! It is not the kind of thin disposable towel, but a thick, soft, and super-good cotton towel. It is very comfortable to wash your face and hands. The texture is perfect. I instantly felt that the hotel was really willing to spend money on supplies and took care of the guests' demand for quality. This small detail made my favorability towards the hotel soar! A little expert in atmosphere: The room is equipped with a small speaker, which is simply a weapon to enhance happiness! Back to the room at night, connect your mobile phone to play some favorite music, take a bath or just lie quietly, the hustle and bustle of the ancient city fades away, and your own quiet time is surrounded by beautiful melodies, and the atmosphere is directly full. Worry-free toileting: toilet paper is specially prepared in the bathroom! This seemingly small configuration is extremely thoughtful and hygienic when needed. It avoids embarrassment and also reflects the hotel's careful observation of the actual needs of guests, which is really a plus. Sophisticated laundry detergent: I also found a small bottle of laundry detergent with exquisite packaging! For those who need to wash small clothes (such as socks and underwear) on a short trip, this is simply a timely help. It is no longer a simple soap flake, but a high-quality laundry detergent, which once again proves the hotel's attention to details. In summary, Nianxiali Boutique Hotel perfectly interprets the word ”boutique”. It is not only clean and comfortable, but also infused with care and quality in every detail you can think of and can't think of. This is definitely one of the best hotels of the same type I have stayed in in terms of details of ”improving the comfort and experience of staying”. Next time I come to Datong, I will definitely stay here again!

Very satisfied! I was initially concerned about the strong smell of a new hotel, but it turned out to be quite pleasant. We booked two rooms, one of which was adjacent to the inner courtyard, and our elderly guest noticed a slight odor, so the housekeeping manager immediately arranged for a replacement. The hotel is located within Datong Ancient City, within walking distance of several major attractions. The room was quiet and clean, with comprehensive amenities and smart controls. The breakfast was exquisite and promptly replenished. The staff was attentive and courteous. The front desk representative, Cheng Zipo, was especially patient in handling all inquiries and invoice requests. The service was excellent and highly recommended!

A very cost-effective hotel! Although the hotel is far from the ancient city, it is very close to museums and art galleries. Wanda Plaza is across the road, where there are two famous old restaurants in Datong, which are very convenient for eating, drinking and having fun. It is suitable for self-driving travel, and the underground parking lot is large. The hotel's buffet is great, especially the knife-cut noodles, mutton offal noodles and mutton dumplings, which are very authentic. The hotel room is well soundproofed and the whole hotel is very quiet. Of course, there are some shortcomings. For example, in the early April weather, the hotel room was extremely hot and dry, and the air conditioner did not provide cold air. It could only open the window 24 hours a day to dissipate heat, and the temperature control was not in place. The curtains in the room are behind a whole row of sofas. There are no smart facilities. You can only climb up the sofa to open and close the curtains, which is very inconvenient. The hotel twin room only has a single bed of 1.2 meters, and the double room is only 1.8 meters, which is not friendly to families with children. I hope to add a parent-child room with two beds, one large and one small.

This hotel is a courtyard-style hotel, and the room is as pictured. The room was fully equipped with a minibar and was very comfortable, perfectly worth the location and price. It's even better off during the off-season! 🤣 The fan was a little awkward, located directly above the bed (perhaps it was unique to our room), making it a bit uncomfortable to sleep with. The service was excellent. The front desk lady, Keke, was very attentive. If we were out for a long time that day, she would notice and ask if we wanted a foot bath. She also recommended the delicious jelly we had at the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda. It was truly delicious! Even better than Shunyi! In the evening, it was so relaxing to sit in the rocking chair in the courtyard, listen to some music, and have a drink.

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The service at the buffet breakfast was impeccable while the breakfast varieties were acceptable. The service provided by the staff with the employees' tag below was superb during my breakfast. The room is huge, a truly international 5 star quality. Daily cleaning service was great while I didn't manage to get their name, but kudos to their services. All in all, my experience here was great, and I would recommend anyone who stay at this hotel.

When we arrived we were given the wrong room in B tower with single beds, we had to go back downstairs and show the booking again to request the correct double room in A tower. The rooms and amenities are old, and the fridge is broken. I called reception who told me to bring any items I want to cool down to the reception and use their fridge, when I asked if we can swap the broken fridge for a working fridge, they said all of the fridges are like this. They won't admit the fridges are all broken, but all of the fridges in the hotel are warm and won't make your food / beverages cold. The hotel is in dire need of an upgrade, and they need to replace the fridges.

Spacious room, clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were more than adequate with a choice of varieties. Hotel location was ok just outside the wall though neighbouring shops were all shuttered. Taxis plentiful and inexpensive. Nightly dinner was at the hotel restaurant - good food, surprisingly very affordable prices and extremely good services from the staff. What stood out most were the very helpful, cheerful staff, at the front desk, restaurants, and cleaners!
