The whole experience was amazing. The rangers tried to ensure we saw as many animals as possible. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and the food was exceptional. The total camp environment was relaxing while being exciting and unpredictable at the same time. We will return and stay for more that 3 days, it was not enough.

This location was so much more than I expected it to be. The whole experience was just mind blowing. The staff can't do enough for you and we were truly spoilt. The food was outstanding and there was plenty of it. The safari's were just superb, we got to see the big five and so much more. Watching a herd of elephants walk by whilst chilling on the veranda at the Lodge was a proper pinch yourself moment. Rhino Post Safari Lodge, we can't thank you all enough for this life changing experience. Xx

We had an amazing time. Our safari guide Fabian was very knowledgeable and friendly. All the staff couldn't do enough for us. The food was lovely, we were all well fed!. Our accommodation was clean, staff came in everyday to turn down our beds while we were out on the evening safari. A truly memorable stay.

Our stay and experiences with Rhino Post Safari Lodge exceeded all hopes. Sorta was our family's attentive guide for four days. She woke us in the morning, mastered our game drives (2 a day), made us feel extremely safe, and escorted us to our lodge day and night. This lodge has the schedule down to a science. You awaken early with a muffin and coffee, leave by 6 a.m., have a morning coffee and snack stop, return for lunch, take a break until 3:30 afternoon tea, depart by 4:00, have a "sundowner" on the game drive, and return for an elegant dinner. The service at Rhino Post is impeccable. We experienced the Sleep Out, which requires a lot of preparation from the staff, not to mention the food and the chef who tends the fire over which he cooks. Rhino Post Safari Lodge guides and staff made us feel like royalty. And the animals...that's another amazing review!

we had an amazing experience sleeping at the small off grid camp of Rhino Lodge (called plains Camp). it truly sets you in the middle of nature, which is such a rare experience. the guides were very nice and shared a lot about the outback, and experiencing the nature by foot is really a different way.

This was my first safari. I have wanted to do this for a long time, and I was not dissapointed. Rhino Lodge was everything I hoped for. The rooms were rustic, but comfortable, clean and had a very special feel. The public areas were lovely, and comfortable. I could not fault the staff, the service was excellent and our guide very knowledgeable. The food quality was agsin excellent. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Rhino post is set in Kruger, was a different experience to the previous game reserves we visited. The food was customized, staff friendly and the room was comfortable. We had the big 5 sightings. What was unique was we were able to see several wild dogs, hyenas, waterbuck, baboons and also viewed a leopard for a long period of time as it lay down in the sand. The game drive in Kruger is different compared to the private game reserves. Sorta our ranger /tracker helped us to spot animals and birds both in daylight and post sun set. We were able to spot several lions in the river bed, elephants, giraffes. We also witnessed an elephant coming down to drink water which was opposite to the lodge. All in all it was a memorable stay in Rhino post, as we wound up our South Africa trip

I am sorry to buck the trend of all the other reviews and I have thought long and hard about writing this. My husband and I are experienced travellers in Africa having family here, and one of our daughters, who accompanied us, is a trained safari guide with FGASA level 3. The lodge is lovely - however at most other lodges there is a lunch option. The dinner tables are communal and on a family holiday we did not want to dine every night with other guests and our guide on a large table. Even when we requested private dining our guide hovered near us. There was no front of house or obvious lodge manager with whom we could voice our concerns or who came at any time to ask us at any time how our stay was. Our main problem was with the guiding staff. The chief guide was completely disengaged. Our allocated guide was not what one expects from a lodge of this price. Our guide 1. Continually fed the animals as we drove round - especially the baboons and monkeys which is not appropriate 2. Drove so fast one of our party could no longer go on the drives as they felt travel sick 3. Spent a significant amount of the time on the radio talking about sightings ( imagined) and not concentrating on his guests 4. His knowledge was very poor ( our daughter has trained as a guide to FGASA level 3) that he misidentified many birds and tracks - eg mistaking hyena tracks for leopard tracks.. I am afraid there are also many other points. Whilst we enjoyed our stay and cannot take away from the house staff who were fabulous there would appear to be some management lacking. If the hd been our only lodge stay it would not have been acceptable.
