The Last Word Kitara

Last Word Kitara is a highly recommended place for solitude, relaxation, peaceful and beautiful setting, outstanding accommodation and food and world class safari activity! The staff here is friendly, social, caring and helpful. We were treated like royalty from the minute we arrived!

We just stayed at Last Word Kitara. The lodge is fabulous. What I enjoyed most was that there are only 6 suites, but the place has a large spread of lounges and seating areas, so you never feel crowded and always have space to relax in privacy. It is a beautiful setting on the Klaserie river and there were often times when you can see wildlife right there from the deck or the porch of your suite. The suites were fantastic especially the ac and heating was nice great view from the porch soaking tub indoor and outdoor shower option very spacious. We saw Elephant and hippos there along with water buck and Impala. The food was wonderful the drives were fantastic. All of the guides are fantastic we had Matt and Patrick for our tracker they were superb. We saw many amazing things it was unrushed and well done. Only running into a few other vehicles during the day. The service, from management to housekeeping, was EXCEPTIONAL. We have been on a few safaris before, but this place was my favorite! What well you see there, its wildlife so you never know, we saw lions, magnificent leopards, Elephants, Zebra, Giraffe and so much more. If you want a very personal but fabulous safari experience near Kruger, Last Word Kitara in private Klaserie reserve this is the place. We will return to Kitara.

Onze tijd bij The Last Word Kitara was ronduit magisch. Vanaf het moment dat we aankwamen, voelde het alsof we thuis kwamen bij goede vrienden – warm, open en met oprechte aandacht. De lodge is prachtig gelegen aan de Klaserie-rivier, met slechts zes suites waardoor het verblijf intiem en exclusief aanvoelt. De suites zijn ruim en stijlvol ingericht, met heerlijke bedden en prachtige badkamers voorzien van zowel een binnen- als buitendouche. Vanuit ons privéterras genoten we dagelijks van adembenemende uitzichten op de rivier, waar regelmatig wild langskwam – een unieke ervaring! Ook de infinity pool en het uitzichtdeck boden perfecte plekken om te ontspannen en olifanten te spotten. De gamedrives met Matt en Patrick waren absoluut hoogtepunten. Hun kennis van de bush en hun scherpe oog voor details zorgden voor spectaculaire waarnemingen. We voelden ons altijd veilig en volledig op ons gemak – wat ons toeliet om met volle teugen te genieten van elke safari. Ook culinair werden we verwend: van het ontbijt tot het diner, elke maaltijd was een feestje. De chefs wisten ons telkens opnieuw te verrassen met smaakvolle gerechten en persoonlijke touches. Iedereen van het team bij Kitara draagt bij aan die warme sfeer – niets is te veel gevraagd, en alles gebeurt met een glimlach. The Last Word Kitara overtrof onze verwachtingen op alle fronten. Luxe, comfort en avontuur in perfecte harmonie. Wij raden deze plek van harte aan aan iedereen die op zoek is naar een intieme en onvergetelijke safari-ervaring in de Greater Kruger-regio. We geven zes sterren! Tip: boek de helikoptervlucht. Spectaculair!

What a great experience! The lodge is fabulous - comfortable and peaceful. The staff were all so friendly and keen to help. The food fantastic. The real thrill though is being out on the drives and being so close to the wildlife which Nathan and Patric made a very special experience for us. The coffee stop in the morning and the G&T stop in the afternoon were a surreal way to enjoy being out in the bush, close to the animals. Thank you to all the team, we'd certainly return.

Great news - you don't have to read any more reviews as this is the place you've been looking for! We spent four amazing nights here and loved every minute of our stay. The facilities are top notch, the food fabulous and the setting sublime. Most importantly however, the game drives were thrilling, and our knowledgeable guide and tracker Nathan and Patrick made sure we had plenty of close encounters with the wildlife! All of the staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough to make our stay pleasant and memorable. A really fantastic team. I hope one day we can come back and do it all over again.

This lodge is truly spectacular with unbelievable views , comfortable rooms and amazing food . The staff were all extremely friendly and service oriented . The guides were knowledgeable and we had some good isolated viewings although the density of wildlife is not that high .
