Xanatseni Private Camp

Amazing!! It was above expactations. The food, the staff, the safaris, the rooms. Waw! We want to back!

My family and I had the most wonderful experience at Xanatseni. The accommodations were immaculate and very comfortable. We stayed in the Tsensi suite which was more than enough room for our family of 4. The hostess, Teneil, made us feel very welcome and was extremely attentive to our every need. Our safari guide, Bryony, was very knowledgeable and friendly which made every safari drive a great experience. Our tracker, Ridge, was a wealth of knowledge about the area and very adept at locating the animals. The food was incredible and the entire staff was friendly and made us feel at home. I cannot say enough good things about our time there and can’t wait to go back and stay even longer!

We had a spectacular visit to Zanatseni Private Camp. Tenil, Dean, Bryony, Ridge, and the rest of the staff were knowledgable, kind, and met our every need. The facility is beautiful, and I couldn't ask for better game drives! Would highly recommend for an authentic and luxurious safari experience.

Our travel agent recommended Xanatseni because she had stayed there. We were so pleased with her recommendation. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. The Safaris were exciting. The tracking of the leopard and elephants at the water hole are locked away in the memory bank. Thank you to Bryony and Voisi for explaining everything about the animals and birds we saw. The morning safaris were cold. You are provided with a hot water bottle and blanket. I would advise taking a warm hat and wearing layers. (We went in June). Amazing evening sunsets. Every trip out was obviously different. They have an honesty bar. However, the staff were always on hand to help. Meals are taken at a communal table with a member of the team. Such a friendly caring team who made sure you left with unforgettable memories. The pool was cold! I think the vegetarian choices could be improved on. Thank you to Teneil and all the team for looking after us and for the birthday cake.

Xanatseni is a very special place. From the minute we arrived lovely Nilla treated us like friends. There are no room keys and everyone eats together round the table. There is such a warm, welcoming, incredible vibe. It’s like staying with friends who own a fabulous home! The staff are fantastic, the food is delicious, the pool is wonderful in immaculate grounds. Dani our guide went out of her way to make sure everyone had wonderful sightings: baby hyenas for our son, 12 lions sleeping in the road at sunrise, a leopard up a tree crunching on impala to name but a few. Simply magical. We could have stayed much longer in fact next year we are!!!

Our stay at the Xanatseni was simply incredible! The camp overlooks a small waterhole and from the lookout we spotted elephants, impala, wildebeest and much more. The staff were so friendly and no request was too much effort for them. Nila, the camp host ensured that we were totally spoilt and the game drives with Dean were everything you could hope for from a “real” experience of the Kruger. He was knowledgeable , great fun and one incredible tracker! We saw all of the Big 5 plus cheetah and wild dogs - both endangered and in relatively small numbers. The open jeep meant that viewing was good wherever you sat. We will never forget our stop at a waterhole for coffee and muffins as out of the bush came a small herd of elephants to drink. It was awesome! Our rooms were clean, well appointed and comfortable and the food was good-plenty of it too. The care for the environment and all animals was so evident. Thanks Dean and Nila (and others) for an unforgettable stay. We would love to come back !
