WARNING! WARNING! Do not book a room through the hotel's website. The hotel has canceled our room reservations without any reason or compensation, only to take customers through other booking sites. We needed to quickly book another accommodation in Skala. Fortunately, there were still some options open. Although we lost 600 euros because prices had already risen, we were really disappointed.

I had booked a stay at La Skala Vista, but to my shock, I received an email stating that due to a "system failure," my reservation had never gone through, and both of my bookings were canceled. The worst part? This has been booked for 2 months. leaving me with no alternatives for my planned dates with our flights already booked. Their response was nothing but an apology and a suggestion to change my travel dates, but unfortunately, they had no availability for the period I originally planned. This lack of accountability and professionalism is unacceptable. A proper hotel should ensure that its reservation system functions correctly and, in case of an error, offer real solutions rather than just an apology. We are now left as a group of 6 with no hotel and are unable to find availability in Skala. The likelihood being the holiday will have to be cancelled and we will loose the price of the flights. I am extremely disappointed with the way this was handled. If you are considering booking here, be aware that your reservation might not be honored due to "system failures." I will certainly think twice before booking with them again. Would NOT recommend.

Arrived just before on 25th Sept. Greeted by young lady who checked us in . No checking of passports booking ref nothing given key details (verbally ) of we where would be having breakfast . Given safe key controls fir air con and the charges they were Told where room was . Went up to room walked first impression was very dated looked tidy . Bathroom basic . Noticed shower head wasn't atta to anything only a hook we would fir towel in kitchen . So ended up tying that up with plastic sandwich bag . Sovmcket coming away fro. Wall by one side of the bed . Used the shower the following day screens difficult to move and one handed isn't the best way to wash hair or shower . Breakfast consisted of slices of ham and cheese under a cover no chilling for it. srkection of bread and sandwich toaster for toasting ! array of crockery tea coffee cereal yoghurt . . No staff seen all day once breakfast gad finished Numbers fir emergency on door . Pool good size but needs a clean and shrubbery tidying up . Sback bar closed fur last couple of days prob due to time of year No crockery left in room just cups glasses and solitary teaspoon Then on departure day went dwn our taxi arrived but the manager wasn't there so we were goin to leave a note but she was called and turned up eventually. Such a shame yhus place gas been neglected ideal spot fur shop car hire restaurant. Give 2/3 out 10

The good points, kettle, fridge and hair dryer and regular linen changes. The bad, in need of maintenance, lights not working,toilet roll holder broken , toilet seat broken, paint peeling. Breakfast poor. Weeds growing round pool. Such a shame as it could be good with some tlc.

The good points. The bread is nice at breakfast and the pool is a good size! The not so good points… Everyone who turns up mostly asks for a room change within minutes of entering their dungeons. There are a few rooms that face the pool but if like ours it will be basement level, dark, poorly maintained and dirty. You get a bedding, bin and towel change every 2 days but not once in our 10 day visit was the bathroom cleared or the room floors mopped. The shower cubicle was rusty and the the bedroom furniture dated. We found someone else’s clothing in our wardrobe. Safe fee is €3 a night and air con €5 The pool itself is ok, clean but once again we never see anyone cleaning around the pool so expect dirty feet. The pool bar was only open for around 3 hours but glasses are not collected (we saw the glasses we used left for 2 days) There is a shower under the pool but it’s filthy and many bottles of shampoo etc have been left and not cleared away. Breakfast is of a very poor standard. A flask of coffee, a few bits of bread and some warm cheese and meat. A little yogurt and some dry croissants. The lighting down to the dungeons in the evening is really bad, in fact it’s non existent, this is actually a safety hazard. Overall not the best

We had booked through Airtours holidays. On arrival at around 9.30 in the evening, we found the reception area and surroundings in darkness, had a good look round and not a soul in sight. There was a number on the door which I rang, no answer, as time went on, I tried ringing the EasyJet helpline, I dread to think what would have happened if this had been an emergency, as I gave up after 30 minutes, this is when someone turned up to give us out key. We had a family room which was large with a mezzanine floor, we only tried sleeping up there one night as the stairs were not very safe and ended up sleeping on the 2 couches in the living area. The standard of cleanliness was not great, bits on the floor still there after several days, However, the changing of towels and bedding was frequent. Breakfast was your usual continental fare, the biggest problem which has been mentioned several times in reviews was the very small sandwich toaster that was supposed to be used to make toast???? You would think with all the complaints about it they could have changed it for a toaster. Health and safety not very good here, one day a man got out of the pool and put his foot through a tile needing stitches. Our room was up 2 flights of stairs which were not lift, this resulted in my husband missing his footing and gashing his arm. The next day the lad at the pool bar asked what he’d done, surprisingly, that evening they had finally put new bulbs in. Overall, although this hotel is in a great position and only 5 minutes walk to both the beach and the main restaurant *****, it is in dire need of some TLC.
