愉快的旅程

The hotel has changed name to Wray Hotel and check in was thru the restaurant downstairs. Parking is available and free. Did not realized the hotel is with shared bathrooms and toilets. Nevertheless, we just stay a night as a stopover before going up North. Bearable for a night stay.

Left on street! Took money! Arrived with young family later than expected. They did not let us in. We tried for two hours phoning and begging to be let in. As it didn’t feel like a safe area, we went back to the airport and had to sleep there. When speaking to them on the phone the following day, they lied about phone calls and asked me to send through a phone log.  They also said they would phone me back which they did not. I tried to send through the phone log as proof as requested, but they had given me fake emails. Each time I call I am told the manager will phone me back but nobody does. They have taken our money and ruined a family holiday. In addition to the night of the hotel, we had also had to pay for taxi to, and from the airport and could not do our trip the following day due to lack of sleep. This hotel is known as both of the Beaconsfield and The Wray. Please do not trust either I do not want other people to go through what my family had to.

Booked a table beforehand. When we arrived the barperson was not interested in our booking just sit whereever. Shared the seafood plate a special on Friday. Food ok nothing special. It was 1.30pm and the restaurant was nearly empty. Checked the toilets out before we left. Very ordinary. The floors had some sort of sealent peeling off them. Looked dirty. One of the spray bottles had fallen off the wall into the basin. We did not use them. Just disappointment as it really did not seem to have improved since we were there a few years ago especially as it was voted best Tavern 2024.

Very cold in the bar and we had to ask for it to be turned off. Had the Pearl Couscous salad with chicken and a house red…. Expensive for a tasteless Red I might add. Started to feel tummy problems pretty much within an hour after eating and had to leave my friends. Left half the wine so indicative of how I felt after the meal. !!! I never leave a wine. Got home and vomited profusely 3 times with the whole meal ending up in the loo. Went on all night… would say it was the chicken in the dish coz a salad is pretty easy to whip up. Won’t be back after this lot of gastro… check your meat Wray. Lady next to us also made a complaint about her food as well.

This review is based on the food served in the hotel restaurant. Average at best. I was sceptical due to the large variety on the menu that is more reflective of a smorgasbord on a plate. The surf n turf presented without the surf and the turf was subpar, we asked if we could please have the prawns they were brought out pretty quickly in the form of skewers and were rubbery and cold. We also ordered the garlic prawns dish of the same quality not appealing. Shame WA have a good supply of local seafood and produce. The service was good no complaints there. To sum it up, there is just too much going on with the menu for it to be consistent and of a reasonable quality. I would return for the local vibe and a beer.

Went there for a catch up and lunch with a long suffering Docker supporter as they took on my CATS and it was packed but service was good and we had a BIG MEAL at a great Seniors price and a few Bevies. Noise was a bit loud but after a while we went to the front bar where it was quiet and not so many Docker rowdies crying their beer. All in all a good day.

Superb quality food at great prices and $8 pints in happy hour. The range of beers and food choices is excellent and the Sports Bar at the rear offers a great place to watch your favourite sport. You can walk there easily from the Cappuchino *****

I stayed for two days on leaving I was flying to Bali when I landed I was shocked to find I hit with three additional payements with no reason it was a couple of days latter when I was told that I had spilled some water on the mattress I am also disabled and it was difficult in the night to move in the hotel and wiih no reason or Amy explanation charged an additional $400 firstly I was shocked the hotel did not contact me before this was done and as I didn’t know were cost came from this led me not transfer into my account as this was done on three transactions which I think is rediculous and put me in a difficult predicament it was a terrible situation to be in and I don’t believe you stay at this hotel

Went for a meal on Sunday after a big day out at adventure world we had a large group they were accomodating for us. Meal was delicious and very impressive we all enjoyed it. We had surf & turf cooked exactly how we had asked and family members had pasta and nasi gori

it was fantastic really loved our stay. the service and food was amazing. the bed was comfy and shared amenities were clean. really close to cappuccino *****. the hotel has deep history and they have a lot of sports memorabilia on their walls really loved it. we will be returning. thanks

Staying at the wray hotel was very comfy. Room was very clean; the hotel gives a vintage pub vibe as the staff explained it is a heritage listed place. Staff was very helpful with the check-in as we reached there quite late. Will return definately

My husband & I booked the family room for 2 nights & we were both so disappointed. Dust lined the fans & windowsils like it hadn't been cleaned in months. The lampshade was broken & it had no light bulb. Included in the room amenities was supposed to be a kettle - there was no kettle, no milk; only a cup of teabags & mostly sugars. The curtains are all in need of replacing. I complained to the manager on our first day & she was very apologetic. She replaced the lamp with another broken lamp & brought up a kettle - bare minimum attempt to correct the issues. What a waste of money!

Tv stuffed, can’t fix we’re in a meeting.Next one no A/C noisy traffic. Drunk backpackers at 4 in morning. Toilets crap. Oh the trivia Tuesday nights blaring beneath your bed, lots of local seedy alcoholic/junkie scum passing through car park remove valuables from car.
