"This place is a perfect getaway for those who need a getaway from the hustle and bustle of their daily life. We had a warm welcome from the staff upon arrival (about 40mins boat ride from main island) and had a buggy send us to the rooms. Room was spacious. Dinner from the main restaurant was great. Staff were extremely friendly. Would recommend snorkelling in the morning from 8am onwards when the tides aren't too low. I was lucky enough to spot a turtle! Beware of crazy sandflies though. We got bitten real bad."
"The Gaya is a beautiful hotel, in a beautiful location and the staff are all lovely. The buffet is quite good with a variety of options. The seafood BBQ is delicious!!
You have to book the spa and activities 2-3 days in advance to secure a spot. I recommend booking the spa before arrival.
If you are a hungry person the all inclusive option may be best as the food at the pool restaurant is soso (in our opinion).
Would be lovely to include a reusable beach bag in the rooms."
"Enjoyed our stay in this resorts. It’s like a small Malaysian maldives. Perfect service! Thank you manager Karl for everything! Lot of activities all day, such as kayaking, tour to the mangrove jungle, snorkelling, diving or just relax on the pool. Breeze villa very comfy and large. Kids also became a part of saving coral area of Gaya island."

"The location was great and the staff super friendly. A part of the beach was reserved for hotel guests and was not overcrowded. The team was trying its best to pick up all plastic in the morning from the beach but unfortunately during the day more was coming. People should take more care themselves.
You can go snorkeling at the beach but to arrive the corals you need to wait for the tide and have to be a good swimmer. Then it’s beautiful out there.
The breakfast was great and a good combination between buffet and menu.
Overall we can recommend it for 2 nights. Don’t forget your mosquito repellent and bites relief.
We saw several Gerrys;) - beautiful creatures."
"Objectively speaking, the price is relatively expensive compared to the service, hardware, and catering. There is a problem with the sea view room, the sound of the waves is very loud, and it is not recommended for those who are sensitive to sound. It is not recommended in the rainy season. The tide was high when we arrived on the island, so snorkeling was not possible. We had to check out at 12 o'clock the next day, and there was not much time for activities."

"Nice hotel with a very good location. Close to Gaya street where there are many eateries and where the wkend market is located. Next to the iconic round about and the sea front.
The hotel may have been look dated, but the rooms looks to have been refurbished since last stayed here.
Rooms is spacious and bed is comfortable. No issue with cleanliness. Didn't use any of the facilities as we just stayed a night before heading out to KK park. Good value for money."

"Location is good, at centre of city and easy to get to different locations of the city. The lift waiting is a nightmare though; there is a lot of people waiting for the lifts and it is always full. Room is as per photo and cleanliness is alright. Water heater is not very hot though. Staffs are responsive over whatsapp and hair dryer is only available if requested."

"The view from the room is expectacular. We like the room minimalistic design, and the colour scheme. Location is great as it is in the middle of gaya street and filipino market, walking distance to most tourist attractions. However, they need to improve on their cleanliness. Dusty fan, noisy aircon and broken sofa bed are still tolerable but the leaking in the toilet bowl after flushing is disgusting."

"It is a homestay type, very clean. Compared with other thousand-yuan hotels, the room here is quite large and comfortable. There is a small kitchen, refrigerator, water dispenser, washing machine. The store has prepared everything you may need. This is really considerate and cost-effective. When you enter the room, you can see the sea view outside at a glance. It is the best choice for babies who don't like sunbathing!"
