My wife stayed here & i just thought I’d check reviews to see if anyone else had the same experience she had. To my surprise, another guest did! Booked a room - paid in full - & when my wife arrived to check in they said she booked two rooms & the balance of the second room had to be paid in full before she got the keys to the room already paid for! No second room had been booked! My wife was over visiting her sick father at Christmas & had no other choice but to pay it. My wife showed emails - rang ‘*******’ which was apparently the provider it was booked with & even got the confirmation that nothing had been booked whatsoever- showed staff the proof - & was still given no other option than to pay. The entire stay she wasn’t even given the keys to the second room. My wife was extremely upset & felt ambushed in an already tough situation , about to see her father for the first time in a care facility. Absolutely awful.

I had an absolutely amazing time at The Thatch Inn! From start to finish, everything about my visit was spot on. The food was outstanding – fresh, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. Every dish I tried was delicious, and the portions were just right. The beer selection was equally impressive, with a great range on offer and perfectly kept pints – the kind you can tell are poured with pride. It made the perfect pairing with the food and really added to the experience. On top of that, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of charm. The whole place was spotless – from the dining area to the rooms – which made my stay feel even more comfortable and enjoyable. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely made me feel looked after. Overall, my stay at The Thatch Inn was excellent – fantastic food, brilliant beer, an inviting setting, and a level of cleanliness that really stood out. I can’t wait to come back!

Looks a lovely place with outdoor seating but do not eat here. The food was overpriced and ridiculously small portions. The fried ravioli looked like one cut in half with hardly any filling inside served with a tiny amount of undressed rocket. The Ceaser salad had dozens of croutons in it but only 4-5 small cubes of chicken and some flabby chicken skin. It came with more anchovies than actual chicken. The fish for the fish and chips tasted watery and tasteless and was served with 5-6 chips. The food was outrageous!!!
