The best hotel to stay in during this trip. The location is next to Lake Kussharo. The room has a view of Lake Kussharo. You can see the beautiful scenery when you wake up in the morning. The waitress at the front desk is very positive and enthusiastic, but I really don’t want girls to carry their luggage. There is a parking lot here. There is no charge. The room I was given was large in size, there was no smell in the room, and the cleanliness was very good. The air conditioner cannot be adjusted to the heating and cooling modes by itself. Fortunately, there is a vent in the room, which can be adjusted to prevent it from being too dry. The hotel price is included Breakfast and dinner are served as a buffet in the same restaurant. The food is diversified but the choices are not rich. The bathhouse has two pools, indoor and outdoor. There are many people using it. If you go to the bath later, it will be less crowded. There is no convenience store near the hotel. , there are vending machines in the lobby, there are shops on B1/f where you can buy drinks, and there is a entertainment room and karaoke room on B1/f, which seems to be charged. There are 2 laundry rooms and a total of 8 washers and dryers. It is quite sufficient. The hotel The surrounding environment is beautiful. Aging hotel with hints of a by gone era. Staff are friendly and helpful though English may be lacking (just a heads up to have your favorite translator app working). Breakfast is ok but options are limited in the area. The onsen facilities are great. Overall I think I got value for what I paid for.

The first stop of the Hokkaido trip, I stayed here to see the swans. It was almost seven o'clock when I arrived at the town of Yukawa Onsen. I took the Akan bus at the train station to the town. Note that if you get off at the post office, it is not this one directly opposite! It is an old store. Ours is a annex, and it is closest to the Sumo Museum. The annex is very stylish. I wandered around the town when I got lost. I looked at several hot spring hotels, and Honeysuckle Annex is one of the best in the town. The dinner buffet, seafood and sashimi content are OK. The price is not low, it depends on your choice. I praise the young man at the front desk, who has a good attitude, is very enthusiastic, and responds to every request. He helped me book a taxi and helped me contact the activity company that I had booked. There is also a small shop opposite that has delicious pork rice.

My 2-day stay at Kawayu Kanko hotel was very pleasant. While the rooms may look tired, they are spacious and functional (I could do my taiqi exercise in my room!). 3 things I like most about the stay: the staff I interacted with, the onsen and the dinner. Ms Yuka at the front desk spoke perfect English and she gave me the most useful ideas about where to eat and where to go. Thanks to her, I got to learn about the Teshikaga Eco-Passport and got to visit Lake Kussharo (Sunayu area), Lake Mashu and Mt Io by bus, all in one day. Her boss, Mr Nakajima was a very friendly gentleman. Language did not deter him as he patiently gave me a lesson (using his phone translator) about the geographics and the creation of the Kawayu Onsen area. Secondly, the onsen was great. The temperature was just right for me and the mineral refreshed my body instantly. I was told the hot spring water in the hotel came directly from a source that is only a few kilometers away. Lastly, the kaiseki dinner was great. The spread was generous. On a freezing winter day, the 2 personal hotpots greatly filled up and warmed my body. I will definitely return to the hotel.

The hotel is very close to JR Station of Chuantang Hot Springs. It takes about 10 minutes to walk. The front desk service is very good and there is no problem in English communication. At the time of check-in, the hot spring tax is charged per person, 150 yen per person. Booked in a Japanese-style triple room, the room is very warm, the breakfast is good, typical Japanese cuisine, although the taste is not used, but full. The hotel's hot springs are very comfortable, there are not many pools, one indoors, one outdoor, and no other outdoor pools. If you do not consider the traffic, it is recommended to go to the Sulphur Mountain direction, the choice will be more, all the way to the hot spring inn, all natural hot springs. The hotel also provides free help to host a trip, which is very convenient.

Amazing hostel in Teshikaga, clean rooms, big kitchen and shared spaces. Staff is really kind and helpful. Appreciated
