Located on the bank of the picturesque Jinji Lake,TONINO LAMBORGHINI HOTEL SUZHOU has been endowed with a special spiritual power. Hidden to outsiders and open to those who find the way in, the hotel has the power to take every guest to far and away places, freeing them of their troubles and difficulties. The hotel is purposely built inside a garden, representing what TONINO LAMBORGHINI HOTEL SUZHOU stands for. A garden of treasure which offers the fragile balance between man and nature; a Chinese Garden built only for sheer pleasure – nothing else. Surrounded by camphor trees, gnarled stones, moon gates and waterfalls, you can choose a pavilion or pagoda for a time to spend with a loved one, private time to reflect and gather thoughts, or simply to read a book. As Mr. Tonino Lamborghini says, “We cannot give you Italy but we can give you the feeling.” At TONINO LAMBORGHINI HOTEL SUZHOU, we bring you a mix of tradition and modernity life style.
"The hotel's environment is beautiful, but it's showing its age. They upgraded our room because we mentioned it was our anniversary. The hotel attempted to decorate, but it was incredibly tacky – so much so that I didn't even want to take photos.
The main positive is that the hotel's public areas are indeed stunning. While our upgraded room was more spacious, it wasn't as aesthetically pleasing as the room type we originally booked (I peeked into other rooms, and they looked absolutely gorgeous). The minibar was complimentary with a good selection, and the lobby free bar also offered some nice alternatives.
**Disadvantages:**
1. Many of the hotel staff had a cold attitude during service. I rarely complain about staff attitudes, as I work in the hotel industry myself and understand the challenges of the job, but encountering so many indifferent faces was genuinely uncomfortable.
2. During a heavy downpour, the toilet and shower started gurgling, and the toilet eventually clogged. The hotel sent staff to check on the toilet situation room by room, which suggests it might be a common issue due to the hotel's age. However, after the staff member inspected it, they said they would call engineering, but no one from engineering ever showed up. The toilet eventually unclogged itself once the rain stopped.
3. The hotel offers a pillow menu. We selected two, and one of them (Pillow #9) arrived heavily stained and had an unpleasant odor. The other pillow was fine.
4. The most unsatisfactory experience was at the hotel restaurant, 'Ban Ting Jia Yan'! We waited for half an hour for a table, only to be told that the roast duck – which was what we came for – had just sold out, and we'd have to wait two hours for more. Reluctantly, we ordered braised pork, which then took over half an hour to arrive. I had allocated forty minutes for dinner that evening, but the meal (excluding the waiting time for the table) ended up taking over an hour, directly disrupting our plans for the day. Furthermore, the restaurant uses iPads for ordering, but from what I observed, there were only about two iPads available for the entire restaurant (I might have missed some). Just waiting for an iPad to place our order took nearly ten minutes. In between, whether due to understaffing or other reasons, several nearby tables remained uncleared for over ten minutes after guests had finished their meals. New guests had to sit at dirty tables and watch staff clean them on the spot. Overall, the management seemed quite chaotic. The food itself was mediocre at best, but the entire experience was extremely poor. I sincerely hope the hotel addresses these shortcomings and makes improvements."
