It’s the dry cold season in Tanzania, and this high altitude partial tent was a concern for me. The friendly helpful staff did everything to keep us warm and I had a wonderful experience. After checking in, we headed to the bar and warmed up with a Simora Special, its hot chocolate with Amarula (an African liqueur). Created by their bartender: Simora. You must try one. It’s the perfect warming touch. (thanks Simora!!!!) Then they got the space heaters going in the dining area. They provided blankets to stay cozy while eating farm fresh produce with dinner. The food is fantastic with a nice variety at the buffet. Then when we got back to our tent, there were hot water bottles in our beds. I really really really don’t like the cold, and all the little details made it a pleasant and enjoyable stay. I slept so well.

A pleasant and helpful staff maintains the magical experience at this special lodge. The food is exceptionally delicious, the rooms are luxurious, quiet and equipped with everything you need.

Posto meraviglioso, perso nella foresta. Le stanze sono ampie così come il Bagno con una doccia molto confortevole. Cibo, soprattutto le zuppe, ottimo! Siccome quando siamo stati noi faceva molto freddo, ci hanno scaldati letti con il Vecchio sistema della Boule dell’acqua calda…. Magnifico! I ragazzi sono tutti molto cortesi e disponibili, la piscina bellissima e il fuoco acceso all’imbrunire e’ davvero meraviglioso

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour à Karatu dans le cadre de notre safari pour notre lune de miel. Le personnel était très accueillant tout particulièrement Danny, la vue magnifique et la cuisine du chef est délicieuse ! Seul petit point négatif, la WIFI est très mauvaise mais c'est rarement ce que l'on recherche en safari !

Sehr einfache Lodge mit etwas Unterhaltbedarf bei der Infrastruktur. Freundliches Personal und gutes Essen. Neuer Infinitpool mitten im Jungel ist cool! Kann vorkommen dass sich Wildtiere in der nähe der Zelte tummeln (in unserem Fall mussten in der Nacht Elefanten vertrieben werden).

Un lugar excepcional para pasar unos días mientras disfrutas del safari. La piscina infinita con vistas al valle es impresionante, mejorado, si cabe, con un anochecer al fuego. El servicio es perfecto, las cabañas/habitaciones tienen mucho encanto y la comida del buffet está muy rica.
