"This is the best B&B I have encountered in the past two months of my trip.
First of all, in terms of hardware, the boss directly upgraded the room type. It is spacious and clean, and the facilities and equipment are very new. It feels comfortable and natural.
Secondly, in terms of software, the service is attentive and thoughtful, with a 24-hour butler. At the same time, nuts and fruits are delivered as soon as you arrive. Fruits are delivered every day, giving you a sense of warmth and comfort at home.
Finally, in terms of peripherals, because I was traveling and there were not enough people in the group to go to the West Pole, the boss arranged for someone to drive more than 200 kilometers to take me there without saying a word, which fulfilled my wish to be the last stop of the trip."
"1. I chose this one among several four-star B&Bs in the ancient city. It has a unique design and tasteful tone. I like the overall sense of space and the color tone.
2. The housekeeper will contact you in advance and inform you of the location of the parking lot. He will receive you personally at the entrance of the ancient city, which reduces the burden of carrying luggage. This is great. It is a 300-meter walk from the entrance of the ancient city to the B&B. The check-in point is two steps away from the B&B. It is noisy. Get quiet in the middle and be quiet at night.
3. The manager is more approachable, pays attention to details, serves seriously, is hands-on, and is warm-hearted.
4. The room is clean, refreshing and hygienic, with high comfort. It’s good to order a few side dishes for dinner, have a drink, chat and drink.
When your emotions strike back, please allow yourself to wither for a few days before living a good life! Suitable for permanent residence!"
"Facilities: The hotel facilities are new, the service staff is good, and the Gulidu smiles kindly when cleaning to the restaurant.
Environment: The location is not very far from the ancient city. The biggest surprise is that it is less than 500 meters from the hotel. It is the Phoenix Police Station. It is super convenient to apply for the certificate. The whole process is about 5 minutes. Because the next day, Shangta County, the ancient city has not been done for two long queues. It is done in minutes next to the hotel.
Hygienic: The room is cleaned very carefully, the breakfast coupon will be placed in the house on time, and the overall cost-effective
Wall crack recommended, the room is very quiet"

"A family of three arrived in Kashgar, Xinjiang by car. I found this homestay on Trip.com . The parent-child room I stayed in on the first day. The children liked it very much. The room was large, with a big bed and a small bed. It was no problem for four people. The room design was very good. The homestay was very clean and the bed was soft and comfortable to sleep. I didn't book in advance the next day, I changed a cave room, and it was very special! After playing, I was fortunate that I didn't book the ancient city. In the ancient city, I could walk to the hotel, which was very inconvenient for self-driving! This homestay car can be parked at the door, the boss is very enthusiastic, and also recommended food and beauty! Very recommended!"
"Super cute boss lady! ! Super friendly and loving team! ! One of the best B&Bs I have stayed in in recent years👍👍👍After the attentive landlady found out that I was traveling alone, she specially arranged for a cute little Uighur e-person to accompany me on a tour of the ancient city. We spent the whole day shopping, eating and taking photos. Check-in + travel photography and lighting + explanation of local customs~ It really saved my trip to Kashgarᥬ😎᭄ᥬ😎᭄ᥬ😎᭄
The decoration quality of the B&B online is the result of repeated communication between the proprietress and the Uyghur masters. The perfect blend of ethnic elements and comfort is the relaxation a person wants when traveling alone.
The room supplies and bathroom facilities are also very attentive. I would especially like to praise the bath towels in the room. Bath towels in Xinjiang hotels are generally small and hard. The bath towels in this hotel are definitely of the quality of a five-star hotel. For someone like me who is picky about supplies, It’s really important😍😍
The boss lady is waiting for me~I will come during the annual vacation in August"
"In this fast-paced era, encountering Shiguang Pastoral B&B is really an unexpected surprise and solace for the soul. From the moment I stepped into the B&B, I was deeply attracted by the carefully created environment. The owner's care is reflected in every detail. People can't help but sigh. This is not only a B&B, but also a place where people can enjoy themselves. A warm haven where people forget the hustle and bustle and return to nature. The design of the room is unique, the decoration style is unique and elegant, and every corner reveals originality. What’s even more surprising is that Xinjiang-style dairy products and raisins are thoughtfully prepared in the room, giving you a strong sense of regional customs. The choice of bedding is also extremely comfortable, and the abundant water flow in the bathroom makes people feel more comfortable. The location of the B&B is even more unique, quiet and convenient. It feels like home here. The owner of the B&B seems to be a long-lost old friend, using their enthusiasm and sincerity to make every guest from afar feel happy. You can feel the warmth of home. What's even more exciting is that the B&B also provides ethnic clothes and hats for guests to wear, leaving unforgettable memories. The big yellow caviar dog ”I call it Lao Huang” in the small courtyard is a highlight of the B&B. Its innocent appearance can always easily capture people's hearts. As the sun sets, sitting in the small courtyard and playing with Lao Huang, the tranquility and harmony make people yearn for it. In short, Shiguang Pastoral B&B is not only a place to stay, but also a journey of spiritual baptism and relaxation. Here, you can temporarily forget the worries of life and let your soul get real rest and nourishment. If you love traveling like me and are eager to find peace and beauty during your journey, then Shiguang Pastoral B&B is definitely worth a try. I can't wait to come back here again and continue my pastoral journey!"
"The hotel is close to the ancient city of Kashgar and can be reached in 15 minutes on foot. It is the kind of hotel with older facilities, but the service is more thoughtful and the health is good. Fruits and dried fruits are welcome every day. The breakfast was also very pleasant, the variety was quite rich, and the waiters were very real. Suitable for friends or family to travel to Kashgar. In addition, there are many restaurants around."
"The decoration is very good, it's quite special. There is an approval bureau nearby, where I can just do some errands, and there is also a playground. After finishing my errands, I took my children to play. There are also many delicious food nearby. When we came back, the little girl at the front desk was very special. We were very enthusiastic. When we got back to the room, it had been cleaned. The waiter said that the weather was hot and we had children with us, and they gave us extra mineral water."
"It was my first time to go to Kashgar and I found a hotel at random. I didn’t expect it to be surprisingly good! It is a small courtyard with ethnic characteristics. The owner was very enthusiastic and helped us carry our luggage on the day we arrived. Sanitary facilities, air conditioning and slippers are all available. The most surprising thing is that there is a coffee machine and ice machine! The six small items made by the handsome guy for breakfast are very appetizing. Our half-month trip included a tour around Kashgar and then a walk through the 216 Qiangtang no-man’s land and then to Lhasa. When my daughter returned to Shanghai, she asked her where else she wanted to go. Without hesitation, she mentioned the small courtyard in Kashgar, Xinjiang, and what she missed. small fish in the courtyard. Looking forward to meeting you next time."
"Super beautiful homestay, you can shoot everywhere when you enter the door. Many travel-photographed Miss West Regions come to punch in and take pictures. The landlords are good-tempered and enthusiastic. They also specially give breakfast. Any time, anything is on call! The location is also great, not far from the entrance of the south gate, no need to pull luggage to run around!"

TTravis and ElishaWow! What an amazing place to stay and how lucky we were to find it. By far the best place we stayed in China. Mrs. Li (the owner) was so genuinely nice and caring, and we felt like part of the family staying there. One of my favorite things in Kashgar was hanging out with her and her family in the evenings. She always invited us at night to hangout in the common area where she would make us tea and share her fresh and dried fruits with us. She was really good at using a translator app, so we were able to have a good conversation with her through that.
She has a great little family. Her son speaks good English and was also very nice. She had a young daughter who also speaks English, but is more shy with it (though she will sing you a Taylor Swift song..she has a great voice). They have 3 cats and the youngest one, little tiger, is just the sweetest and the friendliest cat I have ever met.
It was such a good and warm feeling to stay there. We definitely wish we could visit again. A home away from home. And we were treated so generously in more ways than we can write here.
Mrs. Li asked us right away if there was anything she could help us with, without us having to ask, which we really appreciated, and she took the time to sit down with us to go over our plans. She let us store our luggage for 3 days and walked us out to help us get a taxi when we departed.
While it was the family that made it simply amazing, some might also be interested in the following information.
The location is great. On a quiet street. Close to the big mosque which is a good landmark to use to find the area. And of course close to the old city. It's also really close to the biggest supermarket we have found thus far in China (we have to admit it was nice to get a few ”luxuries” from home like cereal and hot chocolate).
The guesthouse is cute and has a Central Asian feel. The shower works great and is hot. We were there in the winter, and the room has heat if you needed it. Mrs. Li was able to arrange a driver for us to go to Tashkorgun and the Karakorum Highway, which was super helpful. The place was nice and clean.
Thank you so much Mrs. Li! You will be a highlight of our visit to China and will be remembered in our hearts forever.

PS: when we get home I'm going to try to write up a bit about our trip on Tripadvisor because I couldn't find anything about Kashgar on trip advisor since covid, and some things have changed, so I thought it might be helpful for fellow travelers, so look for that.

GGuest UserA home-away-from-home in the far reaches of Kashgar.
The property is tastefully and thoughtfully furnished, from the seating area for interaction, to the beds in the dorms with the curtains for privacy, a nightlight and an electrical outlet. I especially like that there's a rooftop with clotheslines and pegs for drying my clothes since I can't get together a full load to use the washing machine/ dryer.
The homestay is located in a local village about 20 minutes walk from the Old Town. However, this being Kashgar, the village is a Uighur village and you can interact with the locals staying here. There are lots of small shops and an entire street of food just on the street outside.
Ella, the owner of the homestay/hostel, has a great personality suited to hosting guests - she is warm, outgoing, and sincere and loves laughter. She's like the glue that brings her guests together to form a social circle, though she's fully appreciates some people may prefer their downtime and respects that.
It's not the peak season for travelling at the moment but even then, it's been great fun staying here.
GGuest UserThe boss is very enthusiastic, and the front desk lady is very attentive and enthusiastic. The most important thing is that the room environment is so good. It is very clean, tidy and quiet, giving people a feeling of returning to their own home. I love this homestay. I arrived quite late and couldn't get a taxi. When I saw that this homestay had free airport pick-up service, I immediately contacted the homestay. He quickly came to the train station to pick me up. I was so touched. 🥰 There is also free breakfast and self-service laundry. It is very convenient, just like my own home. I don't know what language to use to describe it. Anyway, I strongly recommend this homestay. Qiuge is a must-choose when you come to Kashgar‼ ️
GGuest UserConsidered the best and most luxurious hotel in Kashgar, the hotel has nice amenities as one would expect from a Radisson although it appears a bit on the old and tired side, hardware wise. Room is spacious and very comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff. Special mention goes to Ana at the front desk, Steven at the breakfast and Winnie at the executive club. They made the stay pleasant.

TTuscany RoseThis hotel is not perfect but overall I had an amazing stay.
First, the woman on reception is very friendly and helpful. She let me check in early as I arrived from Urumqi at 8am. Thanks to her I was able to get a good sleep before I started exploring the old town. She even gave me yogurt and granola so I wouldn't have an empty stomach. Despite the language barrier, she was patient with me and was always willing to help.
The location could not get any better. It's inside the ancient town so you can easily walk to shops, restaurants and cafes. Cars are not allowed in the ancient city but that wasn't a problem -the hotel is roughly a 5 minute walk from one of the entrances to the old town so it's very convenient to walk there to take a taxi, find a bus stop etc.
The decor of the entire hotel is beautiful and fits in very well with the asthetic of the old town. I just wish the communal areas on the roof top was better maintained. It is starting to look a bit shabby.
Overall I was happy with my room but there are some things I wasn't pleased about. First, apart from the tables on both sides of the bed, the other cabinets in the room were for show -they don't actually open, meaning there is very little storage space. Also, I like having a window I'm my room so I can feel less claustrophobic. I paid extra for a courtyard view. That's because I wanted to see the courtyard. However, I opened the curtain, and I found out that the windows are opaque. I opened the windows as far as I could without banging the TV, and there's a barrier over the windows. I understand they have these measures for privacy but in my opinions, curtains are enough. That definitely dampened my experience. Lastly, the walls are extremely thin, meaning almost every night I was woken up by other people making noise in the courtyard.
Overall I am happy with my experience and I would book here again next time I visit Kashgar, but I would book a room with a city view instead for the reasons mentioned above.

SSyed AnoshI had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure I felt comfortable. They even provided a convenient pick-up and drop-off service from the airport, which made my travel experience much easier. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, offering a relaxing environment after a long journey. I also appreciated the attention to detail and the warm hospitality throughout my stay. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service and thoughtful amenities.
IIng YungWe stayed two nights separated by one night in Tashkurgan. The best part of the first day was spent locating an agent to provide a car and driver to Tashkurgan. My wife and me were sent to the Kashgar Tourist centre beyond the airport to apply for a Border Travel Permit to Tashkurgan and astonished to find the place closed being Sunday 24th June. Staff at the reception were all friendly and enthusiastic. Only two lifts served both Orange and Mercure which were inadequate. Mercure provides free pick up and sent from anf to airport but requires 4 hours advance confirmation. We requested sent off to airport for 1005 flight to Chengu. Staff confirmed reservation for two leaving at 0800 which is too early for breakfast at hotel. So an arrangement was made for wake up call, picnic boxes to takeaway. On 26th morning, the short bald old man probably working as bell boy scolded me why I am alone at the lobby at 0752 and that there are other guests waiting in the car. Fully seated by 0755, we discovered that the rush was to pick up another passenger for the one remaining seat in the 7- seater! We had to travel west to Tianshan road, pick up the last passenger at Hanting Hotel before making east and north to Kashgar Airport. The experience totally spoilt my day, wiped out any good feeling or impression with Mercure and never mind about the promised packed breakfast boxes.

AAnonymous UserIn that shower, it is best to turn on the small head first and then the big head, otherwise it will keep spraying cold water before it is in place... it will freeze to death... Finally, the small head is finished. The ancient city is quite noisy, and you can hear it even if you are not facing the ancient city. The location is good, facing the Spring Festival Gala stage

LLEWIS JOHNExtremely well located, and great value for money. Happy staff who are very welcoming, and the room had everything it needed.
My only concern was some extremely noisy guests in another room, which continued from midnight until 6am on one of the nights. Admittedly, I did not raise this to the staff as it felt too late to do so, so I cannot comment on how well it would've been handled. I'm sure they would have helped to stop it. It does mean that the soundproofing isn't totally perfect, but everything else was very good.
Enjoyed my stay, will return if I come back to Kashgar.

TTinkerbell1723Nice hostel, but there’s one employee who doesn’t want to work that spoils the impression of the hostel. I booked this hostel for a friend (Chinese) and myself (foreigner). We booked the beds online and immediately called the hostel to reserve two lower beds which they confirmed (I have back problems and need a lower bed). We arrived in the evening to be met by one employee (I’ll call him employee 1) who said that foreigners aren’t allowed although it’s very clearly stated on Trip that they are allowed. He then proceeds to call another employee (employee 2) who then checks us in without problems. We get then shown the room by employee 1 and there are only upper beds left. After saying that we reserved two bottom beds employee 1 says that the beds are taken on a first come first serve basis so bad luck for us and then walks away. Very rude and a complete disregard to a guest’s need We then have a talk to employee 2 and he provides a solution we are happy with! Employee 2 is a great guy who actually wants to work and make this hostel a better place and employee 1 is lazy as they come and should be fired (and perhaps work somewhere where he doesn’t need to be in a customer facing role). Apart from this, the hostel is small but clean and with a simple kitchen and living room. Not expensive either!
