Mediterranee

Another lovely holiday at Mediteranee. On arrival they had accommodated us with a room with a walk in shower, due to mobility issues. We had an inland view which overlooked the little Chapel not the carpark. The reception area and dining room had been refurbished. Never had an issue with sunbeds, Thanos was such a lovely guy making us laugh every morning. Perfect location and very relaxing. We were Half Board but we didn't think the evening meals were as good as last year. We choose to eat out 3 out of our 7 nights. We also felt the breakfast was never hot, mostly luke warm. If we return back in the future we will choose to go Bed & Breakfast. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect destination with amazingly helpful staff. Fully air conditioned and rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast buffet always fresh (Did not eat there in an evening) and friendly bar staff, cleaners, everyone. Right in the heart of Lassi and only 7km from airport so can get a local bus or taxi for very little money. Bus stop to Argostoli at the top of the road along with supermarkets and enough restaurants to eat at a different one every evening. Only comment that may be useful is there is a very steep hill to go up from the hotel to the main road (2-3 minute walk at normal pace) - There is also a restaurant half way up if you need a break. Hired a car and free parking for guests too. Can't fault it and also a perfect "fly and flop" destination.

We stayed at the Mediteranee for one week at the end of August in a sea view room. A beautiful view and excellent location if you like to be close to the tavernas (very reasonable) and souvenir shops. The hotel was very clean and well kept. Food was very nice whether breakfast or dinner. We were half board although chose to eat out for dinner quite a bit. Very friendly and helpful team. We went on a couple of lovely trips - Ithaca and Fiskado, Myrtos and Assos. You can save if you book at the local agents. We liked the agent up the hill, turn left and walk along to the shop with the TV screens outside. They tend to have smaller groups (medium bus size rather than coach and Vanna the guide was excellent)! Argostoli is a short taxi ride or around 20 mins walk when its not too hot and it was lovely to see a couple of sea turtles by the fishing boats. We met some lovely people and really enjoyed our stay. We had a massage at the hotel Lorenzo up the hill (2mins) Morfeas which was a nice treat. The beach was beautiful (nurturing sea turtle eggs monitored by volunteers even though the beach was open). Sometimes we had loungers and other times we set up on the sand which was fine and the locals tend to bring their own parasols/chairs etc. There was a nice breeze in the afternoons. The Ionian sea is beautiful and very clear.

Just returned from another amazing stay at this hotel, which enjoys an enviable beachfront location. We always book a sea view room—the sunsets are absolutely stunning. The front desk staff are warm, friendly, and always helpful, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Our room was a good size, with comfortable beds and efficient air conditioning. The housekeeping team did a great job keeping it spotless, with regular changes of linen and towels. The recently refurbished dining room is beautifully laid out, which made mealtimes even more enjoyable. We were looked after by Jerry, Maria, and Angelos, who were always polite and took the time to chat with us. We stayed on a half-board basis, and there was always a good variety of food—compliments to the chef and his team! The hotel bar had a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Lambros and his team ensured everyone had a great evening. The musicians who performed at the Greek evening were excellent as well.

We loved our week here. Slightly worried reading some negative reviews but feel these were not a fair reflection based on our experience. The room, dated yes, but clean and comfortable bed. Sea view room worth paying extra. The breakfast, so much choice and fresh, can't imagine what more you could need. The pool, not the biggest but with such a beautiful beach literally steps away totally adequate. Sunbeds, still available at 9:30 so again don't understand the negative reviews. You can go on the most beautiful beach for free or 8 euros hire 2 beds and umbrella, the lady takes cash or card. Whilst there we witnessed a baby turtle swimming into the sea, literally swam past us! Lassi itself has everything you need. Up a slight hill head to the left. So many amazing tavernas, with extensive menus. Our favourite was 'Kefalos'. Amazing Greek food at amazing prices. Reception staff most helpful. If you need anything or have a concern just go there and they will help. They arranged a hire car for us which was delivered to the hotel. Argostoli is beautiful, go from 9 in the morning and near the fishing boats you could see the most amazing sight of turtles, they were huge! You can catch a ferry over to Lixouri for 3.4 euro each from Argostoli. Visit here at night also, it comes to life and has a real buzz about the place. Basically don't hesitate booking, this hotel is a super base for an amazing holiday in Kefalonia which is most beautiful. We would rate full stars had our room been modernised but don't let that put you off.

A second visit to the Mediterranee hotel Lassie have recommended it to friends and some of my friends are visiting this week. On a arrival I got a welfare taxi arrival was about 30 minutes ahead of the bus, the room wasn't quite ready and we had to wait about 30 minutes but when we got to the room we were give a basket of fruit and a bottle of wine with compliments of the hotel.Nice touch. The staff are excellent the cleaners friendly and hardworkers all are a pleasure. Great pool and beach area i intend to return next year. Visited Ithika a must when in Kefalonia early start but reception woke us. We were on bed and breakfast food was of a good standard and there was plenty of tavernas close by and music. Don't go to Zorbas they do not do Greek night anymore and the meal I had wasn't good i got my money back. Everyone friendly made many new friends, we had a wonderful holiday
