It was right on the beach! Great staff! Rooms are great but #9 was right by kitchen, so avoid that room.

Stop searching and book this incredible boutique hotel on the beach! This place is a gem. Rooms are spacious, beautifully tiled, and pristine. The food was excellent. We especially enjoyed breakfast. The property sits on the beach and we spent hours sitting on the beach chairs and swinging benches. The hotel was on a private beach so it was much quieter than other parts of the beach. Classes were offered each day. I took a yoga class, which was one of the best classes I have ever taken. Great place with lovely staff!

Mvuvi is absolute paradise. We have just experienced a wonderfully relaxing 4 night stay in a top notch appointed and spacious seaview suite. The beds are very comfy and bathroom always delivered a beautiful hot rain shower. Mvuvi is right on the Kiwengwa beachfront, and is a great place for swimming and water sports/activities. The pool is superb and caters for everyone. But the best thing about Mvuvi is the friendliness and warmth of the staff. The service is 5 star first class. The staff got to know us, our "usual" coffee orders, our likes etc. They became our friends. We even purchased a Mvuvi staff uniform polo shirt to remind us of this paradise and its people. Oh, and about the food. The a la carte menu at the two onsite restaurants was extensive and the food quality outstanding. We highly recommend Mvuvi Boutique and just wish we had another week to stay. Thank you to all the staff for a memorable experience !

Highly recommend staying at Mvuvi if staying on the east side of the island! Staff was always attentive and made sure our stay was wonderful. Both restaurants were fantastic! It was easy to book all of our excursions through Mvuvi and made it super convenient. Overall, we had a fantastic stay.

A magical stay! The staff were warm and welcoming, the food was delicious, and dining with your feet in the sand was unforgettable. The room was spotless, comfy, and offered a breathtaking view. Easily the best setting I’ve experienced. Highly recommend this boutique gem in Zanzibar — I’d return in a heartbeat!

Beach was attended to each day in front of the property,but everything to the left and right had a lot of trash.The description of the property on ******* was misleading,They failed to mention the two properties are about a 100 yards apart.The rooms were misrepresented,one property is actually called the Beach Lounge which is the newer of the two properties.

We had an incredible stay at Mvuvi hotel with my family. The rooms were spacious, very clean (cleaned twice every day) and every bed had a mosquito net. The pool and beach areas were wonderful and the food absolutely delicious. The wait for food was very long so it is recommended you order as early as possible. There are two venues of the same hotel both very nice. Take advantage of the day trips the hotel can book for you as there were the highlight of our trip!

Refreshing Quiet in Zanzibar Gorgeous quiet resort owned by Italian couple that has provided a retreat on the Zanzibar coast. Delicious food and great service. I was here with a friend after a business conference in Dar es Salaam and very happy I chose this place of quiet and refreshment.

Fantastic experience . You really get to relax and appreciate in comfort the nature. Everyone welcoming and smiling. Food was fresh and delicious, with daily specials. Special thanks to Gertrude who was very friendly and professional and to Carolina and little Sofia for making us feel in the right place at the right time. Keep it up!

Mvuvi is a beautiful boutique hotel where the staff are super welcoming and really make it their business to ensure you have a lovely stay. Mvuvi has a sister hotel - The Beach Lounge - just a few minutes down the beach so you can share your 'day' between the two resorts, benefitting from the larger pool, as well as meals, which we thought was great. The food and wines were very good and sufficiently varied so we only chose to eat 'out' once over 9 nights. We thought Flore was particularly great at helping to suggest and arrange activities while we were there.

Beyond a beautiful setting, the staff and service make Mvuvi very special. Everyone is kind and helpful — including the drivers they use. They use a WhatsApp group to inform you of opportunities and activities. And a direct WhatsApp to organize transfers and answer questions. The breakfasts are delicious. I also loved the salt water pool. I stayed on the beach lounge side of the property in room 16 (up stairs) my colleague stayed in the room below (12) that had convenient walk out. Both had sea view.

This was my best hotel stay in Zanibar. The staff was great and the dining service was so delicious! You can dine at both hotels. The body scrub massage is a must. The rooms was very clean and quiet. They accommodated my coconut allergies by going out buying me body wash, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner.
