Hotel Brenner

The air conditioning didn’t work, forcing us to open windows onto a noisy street, making sleep difficult. The room was outdated and in need of renovation, and the property felt more like a B&B than a hotel. The images on their website did not match the outdated reality we encountered. Overall, a very underwhelming experience.

Der Check-In-Prozess war etwas langwierig. Mein Zimmer war modern und sauber, abgesehen von der Badezimmertür mit Haaren des Vorgängers. Auf dem Zimmer befand sich ein Wasserkocher mit einem einzelnen Teebeutel. Leider war die Schlafqualität nicht gut, da immer wieder von irgendwo aus dem Haus ein pfeiffendes Geräusch auftrat. Morgens sollte es ab 7:30 Uhr Frühstück geben. Als ich um 8:15 (!) kam, war das Frühstück noch nicht fertig vorbereitet. Als Urlauber hatte ich hier die Zeit, noch 5 Minuten darauf zu warten. Geschäftsreisende mit frühen Terminen sollten aber hier wohl eher ein anderes Hotel in Betracht ziehen. Leider war auch die Qualität des Büffets nicht besonders gut. Als ich den Frühstücksraum verließ wurde die Mitarbeiterin durch die Chefin vor allen Gästen kritisiert, was unprofessionell wirkt. Beim Check-Out war die Rezeption unbesetzt und musste ich daher einige Minuten warten, bis der Check-Out erfolgen konnte.

Dit is geen hotel maar een B&B en absoluut geen 3 sterren waardig. Kille kamers slechte matrassen, personeel wat in de nacht rond 04.45 uur begint mega herrie te maken door het ontbijt klaar te zetten. Dat heeft geduurd tot 07.00 uur. Tel je winst uit. Waardeloos en je wordt er flink getilt bij de zogenaamde afgesloten parkeerplaats €12,- aftikken en de slagboom staat gewoon open iedereen kan er in en uit. Als je van de stad terug komt (ook niet de moeite waard) kun je iets drinken van uit de ijskast in de keuken het wijntje werd ons opgedrongen door de echtgenoot van de eigenaresse, daarna €11,80 aftikken voor 2 glaasjes wijn.

This is a nice hotel with nice rooms, a very pretty breakfast room, and an extremely nice and helpful front desk staff. . The staff helped us with cabs, etc. and couldn't have been more pleasant. he hotelis well located and it was easy to get anywhere in Koblenz. We stayed there for 2 days and were very happy.

The hotel is in a good location, less than a 10 minute stroll from the train station and 15 minutes to major attractions and the town centre. There’s plenty of restaurants and bars within a short walk, 15 minutes tops cover most of the town centre. The centre is very lively if that’s what you are after. The staff were very friendly and accommodating apart from when I requested some ice for drinks and was told ‘It is not possible, it is not normal’. However when I asked a different lady on another night she went and fetched some from a local restaurant , good service. Our room was good, one floor up at the back of hotel facing the garden, quiet and spacious. On the down side the TV was small and there was no English language channels. There were a few, like CNN showing on the list but they weren’t tuned.I know we don’t go on holiday to watch TV but it’s nice to have the option of the news or a film late at night. Another problem for me was no mini fridge in the room, I like a cold drink on a hot day. Last complaint, the bathroom was large, clean, well appointed but the shower was terrible, perhaps the lowest pressure shower we’ve ever encountered in a hotel. It took me about 15 minutes under a dribble of water to get anywhere near clean. The shower and ice are minor problems. Breakfast was very good, a nice selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, cold cuts of meat and cheese and a hot option of eggs and bacon. I had fried eggs cooked to order but scrambled and boiled were available. There was also a good selection of bread and cakes all served in a very nice room overlooking the garden. All in all I enjoyed our stay and would probably stay again if returning to Koblenz.

Hôtel plein de charme, avec un petit petit déjeuner copieux servi dans une salle ravissante. L'accueil et le sens du service ont été un véritable plus ! Merci beaucoup à la propriétaire des lieux !
