Aegean View Aqua Resort

Don't let all the poor reviews put you off! We spent a week at the resort from 3rd July 2025 with four of our kids aged 16-20 and had a great time. All staff were friendly, and in particular the manager. There are loads of pools, so much so we felt the one outside of accommodation was our private pool, and all the communal areas are kept clean and tidy. No complaints from the lads on the quality of the beer, and whilst the cocktails aren't the best I've ever had, the wine is perfectly drinkable. Good selection of food, with lots of healthy choices and the roof top terrace is lovely. David's entertainment in the evening is good fun - low budget but get involved and you'll enjoy it. The accommodation was at a standard we'd expect for the price we paid (about £950/head all inclusive). It's a bit rustic around the edges, but it was just our base so didn't bother us. We were more interested in the amazing views, and the incredibly efficient shuttlebus into Kos Town. As we were there before schools broke up, it was mainly adults/young adults - nice vibe, not overly busy and by about half midnight everything was wrapped up. We're planning a return trip with more of the family next year, and for anyone looking for a reasonably priced resort, not in a standard hotel block with only one pool and no shade, but little blocks of accommodation surrounded by pools, would totally recommend. If you want super high end, this won't be for you (but that's reflected in the price)

Arrived late security checked us in and showed us to the room. Was very apprehensive after the mixed reviews. Room was clean and tidy, yes bathroom dated and needs some TLC. But this is a 3 star hotel. Clean and tidy , very spacious. We had 2 bedroom by a pool, great views. Even a little bar which saves us heading to the main pool. Food was great, something different each day. Cocktail , usual AL depends who poured to strength ect. The toilets down by the main bar definitely need TLC, none of the toilet doors lock, toilet roll holders all broken. But clean and tidy other wise. Entertainment of evening could definitely be better, we had as much fun joining up with others and playing Uno. Day activities much better. Overall we had a fantastic holiday and I would definitely return given the opportunity. All staff welcoming, lovely spread Out hotel, so never felt over crowded. No mad rush to get a sun lounger,table at meal times ect. It seriously doesn't deserve the negative reviews. People need to have a more realistic expectation of a 3 Star hotel

We went for a girls getaway at the start of July for a week. it was ok on surface level, however the rooms were not ideal, no room service the whole holiday not even a bin change or fresh towels. the bed was comfortable and a good size for two of us and the air conditioning was great and the room in general was a good size. The only issue really was the bathroom. there was mould in the shower and the shower head had build up. there was also hair in it which wasn't ours when we entered and greeted by a dead moth in the shower. For some reason we left the toilet cleaner than when we entered as it was stained. the bathroom would also get really slippery after use and the towel provided wasn't much help as water would leak onto the floor. but overall not including the bathroom and room service the room was decent. the hotel in general was okay, the pools were lovely and had a large variety of pools to go to. the evening entertainment and entertainers were very lovely, great for kids. I would say the shuttle busses are not that great due to inconsistency, as we booked a boat trip and paid extra for a shuttle, yet it was completely full and we ended up having to book a 35 euro taxi between 7 of us, but on quieter days weren't so bad. The food wasn't completely inedible however, it was lukewarm at best. We did end up eating outside the hotel a lot and buying snacks instead of eating the hotel food after a couple days as the buffet got mediocre. the best selection of the day was breakfast, however lunch and dinner was not the best. I would say the drinks and cocktails were very good especially in the evening. overall it wasn't a terrible hotel, just mediocre at best.

We are back from a short break and feel very relaxed. The reception staff were very helpful on arrival. We were given a room change last minute as I had a broken ankle and could no longer get up the stairs to the original booked room. I loved the fact there are multiple pools around so there was no rush to grab a sun bed and you could find a pool to match your needs. Food was very varied and when I went to the Greek night they quickly found a vegetarian alternative. The views are amazing and whilst you are out of town (we liked this fact) you could easily get to Kos town using the free bus shuttle or taxi. Yes some aspects were dated and need better upkeep but the price reflected this so we were happy with our holiday.

Had a lovely time at this hotel. We had a swim up room. We only stayed 3 nights. The cleaners cleaned the room twice whilst we were there. Im a fussy eater, but I easily found nice things to eat. The pools were lovely. Yes, the rooms were a little dated, but you only sleep there, I would definitely go back

Upsides: Views from the hotel are amazing and lots of pools to choose from. Entertainment staff, David, Oliwia and Cindy were great on our stay, very friendly and kept the positive energy going! Food is OK, nothing special. If you love cats there are a bunch that are quite friendly. Downsides: Some bar staff, particular the curly haired man, think his name is Dimitri, was particularly rude during our stay. Everything was such a hassle for him to the point lots of people started complaining. Claimed he was always too busy and refused service in some occasions which we did not expect at an all inclusive hotel. Hotel wasn’t close to full capacity for it to be ‘busy’. Some of the pools, particularly the water park (which consists of 2 kids size slides and another out of use) was disgustingly dirty, it wasn’t cleaned once during our 10 day stay and probably hasn’t been cleaned for months. Cleanliness in general is not great, our room was never cleaned once, only beds remade. A lot of people complained about mould in their rooms along with other things. The entire place seems very dated and could do with some renovations. This could easily become a 5* with some good TLC and management due to its location but the downsides let it down so much. Not enough staff: whilst most are friendly they are clearly overworked. The manager didn’t seem great, I watched her berating staff and also witnessed her being very rude to new guests one evening. Very unprofessional. Overall, the stay was OK. I would definitely return to Kos. The island and the old town is beautiful to explore and for things to do. Would I return to this hotel in its current state? Probably not.
