Miros Hotel Apartments

Self catering hotel has very poor cooking facilities comprising of an old rusty two ring camping stove ,one toasted sandwich maker,a kettle and a fridge I don’t know what you could cook on these appliances! The room we were in was very gloomy as the only window was the patio doors which faced a tree and bush lined driveway the room number was 16 . We were invaded every night by hundreds of flying beetles which marched every evening from under the ill fitting door when we reported this to management they just said they were dying out but offered no solution I found it very hard to sleep as they landed on the bed so spent all night on watch we ended up putting a towel under the door to stop their entry point In the morning the towel was covered in bugs The room itself was vey basic and old needed updating the bathroom was ok although the toilet had stains inside the bowl and the shower had a very small shower head which was not working properly because of calcium build up this was reported but again nothing done . Air conditioning was good Our room entrance was scruffy and looked onto the cleaners equipment ie mops bucket laundry skip wire drying rack .This is my personal opinion and I would not return to the Miros Apart Hotel

Just returned from a brilliant 2 weeks at Miros Appartments. Spotless rooms thanks to the lovely Maria. We had a very relaxing and quiet time but with easy reach of all bars and restaurants . A special mention to Sam, Ayten and Kristina (se parakalo). All lovely we will be back. love Mr and Mrs Ice Cube xxx

Our stay at The Miros was fabulous. The apartments are spacious, scrupulously clean and comfortable. The rooms are also well equipped with everything you need for a SC stay. The bathroom is the best we’ve had in Greece with a proper shower cubicle with sliding doors , not a curtain! The air conditioning is very good. The sliding French doors have sliding mosquito net screens. The bathroom window had a net too so you can leave windows open if you want to. Just don’t forget if the French door is open the AC will not work. The free WiFi is adequate , but we tend to just use our mobile data allowance. All the staff are welcoming and friendly but Christina is an absolute darling. She goes out of her way to make your stay wonderful. The owners are also friendly and approachable- none of this “ only interested in €€€” rubbish others have left in comments ( malicious reviews? Can only think that’s the case) The bar and pool bar charge similar prices to elsewhere in resort. Just a 5 minute walk across the road to the sandy beach. The sea is clean, clear and wonderful. The temps June 10th -17th were around 33°. We had 2 quite blustery days, but it didn’t stop us sunbathing etc. A trip to Kos City ( Town) is €2.30 each way. Catch the bus at the end of the drive. Wait on the opposite side of the road (beach side) as the bus passes the stop and turns around further up the road to return and travel to Kos City via the main Kingaki centre. Well worth a visit just to see the archaeological ruins. Just a heads up that the Castle is permanently closed atm due to structural damage. The pool area is great. Plenty of sunbeds. The sunbeds are comfortable too. Pool is very pleasant. I am a mosquito magnet and I was glad of the protection I took -Jungle formula maximum available from from Amazon- stinks to high heaven when spraying but it eases off once on and I didn’t get one bite. They are prolific at dawn and after dusk. My husband forgot to spray his legs on the last evening and suffered the consequences. I’d also recommend using the plug in mosquito repellent in the room. We had a late pick up and flight home so we asked to keep our room - luckily it was available and well worth the €30 we paid as we kept it up until our departure time at 8pm. As for Tingaki as a resort …. it has something for everyone. The people are so friendly and welcoming. The food is awesome, plenty of places to choose from to eat. Evening meal with wine for 2 averages out at €50. Lunch with beer around €30 Large Mythos beer €5 ( €4 in Kos City) Cocktails average €5 … €6 for double mojitos ( at Karma cocktail bar) Supermarket is less than a 10 minute walk away. There’s also one on the walk back from Tingaki centre. Very likely to return. Highly recommend

Great place to stay. Lovely studios in a great location across the road from the beach. 15 mins walk to main Tigaki ***** or 2 euros on the bus with the bus stop just outside the studios. The studios are kept immaculately clean, lovely pool, no rush for sunbeds. Would definitely return.

We arrived at approx 8pm and were allocated a beautiful room with a fabulous mountain view to one side and sea view to the other side. The room was spacious, spotless and well equipped with the most modern bathroom I’ve known in Greece. Myron and the family are wonderful hosts and will do anything they can to make your stay even better. A special mention must go to Maria the cleaner. A lovely lady who works so hard to keep the rooms impeccably clean. Overall I cannot fault this accommodation and can’t wait to return

Firstly I will list the good points about this complex - spacious rooms even though the kitchen room was like a cave as was so dark - good quality bed linen and towels which were changed often - kitchen was fairly well equipped apart from no toaster - shower was powerful with loads of hot water - peaceful surrounds and pretty gardens - air con was free as was the wifi - space to shower and leave bags on departure day - deep swimming pool suited to swimmers rather than children - plentiful cupboard and drawer space - Large comfortable beds - cleaning team do a great job The negatives for us simply involved our room allocation. We had the dreaded room 14, right next to the seating area by the snack bar. We lived in a goldfish bowl, overhearing other people’s conversation with the ladies behind the counter for our sundowner drinks as we were close enough to sit with them! And Friday bbq night we were smoked out by the bbq and chatter and music went on until late all on our doorstep. We had booked for just over 3 weeks but it does seem that returning guests were given preferential treatment. We won’t become returners to this complex as couldn’t risk being given this room again and the communication from the owner about wifi codes, safe keys and departure day information was sadly lacking!
