Four Points Hotels in Kunming

The hotel boasts an excellent central location, right in the heart of the city. Stepping out, you're immediately in a bustling commercial district, and the pedestrian street, packed with dining options, is just a short walk away – incredibly convenient! The front desk staff were incredibly warm and friendly, and they even offered a complimentary room upgrade. Our room wasn't particularly spacious, but being on a higher floor, it offered fantastic views, especially the beautiful city nightscape. However, waiting for the elevators could be a bit slow. The room's amenities were comprehensive, and we were generally very pleased. The only minor point for improvement was that the toilet seat didn't seem thoroughly cleaned, despite disposable covers being provided. The breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, though the taste was just average.

This time I chose the Four Points by Sheraton hotel next to the airport for transit. I was attracted by the airport shuttle and self-service laundry room. I didn't expect the service to be so good. The front desk took the initiative to take my luggage. The room was clean and hygienic. The breakfast exceeded my expectations. This is a hotel I must choose for my next transit.

Overall, it was a pretty good experience, and my first stay at a Marriott-affiliated hotel didn't disappoint. However, perhaps because the hotel is relatively new, I felt the front office staff's professionalism could use some improvement. I was informed that extra amenities would be placed in the room prior to my arrival, but they were only delivered after I had already checked in. It seemed like they didn't pay close attention to booking details or special requests. My reservation clearly indicated one complimentary breakfast was included, but the front desk initially told me my room didn't come with breakfast. Oddly, after I inquired about the price to add breakfast, they then offered it to me for free. I had noted a preference against a corner room, but that's what I was assigned. While it wasn't a major issue and I didn't really mind, the front desk still called to offer a room change *after* I had already unpacked. I called to inquire about children's bathrobes. I was initially quite surprised when the operator confirmed they had them, as Four Points is typically a select-service hotel, and I didn't expect such comprehensive children's amenities. However, they called back shortly after to inform me they actually didn't provide them. On a positive note, all the staff members had a very good service attitude. The housekeeping attendants, in particular, were exceptionally warm and professional. When delivering items, they offered thoughtful advice and showed genuine care. They would also proactively greet me in the hallway in the mornings and patiently ask about my preferred cleaning time and any specific needs. The F&B department's hygiene level also felt like it needed improvement. I bought some fruit and asked for a plate, but the first one delivered had several unidentifiable marks on it. Furthermore, the lobby bar's operating hours were unclear. I specifically wanted to experience it, but when I arrived, I was told the bartender was off for the day. This detail was not mentioned even when I called specifically to inquire about their operating hours. Overall, it offered excellent value for money, and its convenient location made it very easy to access city attractions. However, the service quality of both the Front Office and F&B departments could definitely use some improvement.

It was a truly comfortable stay! I absolutely have to praise this hotel! First, a special thank you to the front desk staff, Xiao Xiong. From check-in to responding to any requests, he was incredibly patient and attentive. He proactively upgraded me to a room with a better view and even provided helpful dining tips nearby. His warm smiles throughout the entire process instantly dispelled my travel fatigue. Perfect service! The overall hotel environment exceeded my expectations. The facilities and equipment were visibly new. From the bedding to the bathroom and public areas, there was no sign of age or age, making it incredibly reassuring. Most importantly, the cleanliness was impeccable. The tables, carpets, and bathroom corners were spotless, and even the sink had no water stains. It was a comfortable and reassuring stay. I'll definitely stay here again! Highly recommended!
