The Huarong was perfect for our first and last stays on our Yunnan family adventure. It's not in a city central location, but it is just next to a big modern mall with all the food options and shops you need to orientate yourself if this is your first visit to China. The rooms are super spacious with views over the neon lit surroundings. The kids room had a ball pool and slide that our children were super happy with. The staff were very responsive to any and all of our requests. The nearest metro station is just a walk over the road and it was easy to book Didi taxis to get to other locations. A very good price for well appointed rooms.

The room was well-equipped, comfortable, spacious, and bright. The lack of air conditioning was definitely not a problem. 🙋 Kunming has a mild climate year-round, and it was even a bit chilly at night during the summer! The room was clean, with a refrigerator and washing machine, and the bathroom had a semi-dry and wet area, which was nice. It's not a scam!

The hotel staff were very welcoming. The facilities were complete and the value for money was excellent. The bathroom didn't have the same nameless toiletries found in many hotels. While not expensive, they were reputable products commonly found in Watsons, so they felt safe to use.
