It was a fabulous stay at the Wanda Vista. The room was clean & tidy. The breakfast offerings have a good spread including sliced bread/croissant/pastries/toaster & coffee! Leaf Ye & a male colleague assisted with late checkout till 1500hrs when my flight departure was delayed. Checking out was quick and effortless again with Leaf Ye!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth by Polly, and it instantly gave us a sense of true Kunming hospitality. Her kindness and professionalism made us feel right at home from day one. Even on our last day, after an unexpected mishap outside the hotel, Polly and LiMon both stepped in to support us — going above and beyond to make sure we were okay and had a smooth experience before heading to our flight. We’re truly grateful for their care. LiMon was also incredibly helpful with our luggage and provided kind support during that stressful moment — we really appreciated the thoughtfulness and calm he brought to the situation. The room was spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable — the bed was cozy, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the shower was excellent. While the view wasn’t particularly special, everything else about the room made up for it. One downside was the pool, which was under renovation for several more months, despite being listed as available when we booked. It was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel — hoping for some poolside downtime. The gym was decent, with good treadmills, but missing quite a bit of equipment, so the amenities didn’t fully match a 5-star expectation. That said, the service and staff were truly outstanding, and the location was super convenient — close to Kunming Night Market, Joy City Mall, and most key attractions were within a 20-minute drive. Overall, despite a few hiccups on the amenities side, the genuine care from Polly, LiMon, and the whole team made our stay memorable. Huge thanks again — we felt truly taken care of.

The hotel is in a good location, with fruit shops, restaurants and South Asian Style City nearby. The service is very good. They will help with drying after washing. They are very considerate. The room is clean and the service staff are enthusiastic and super warm!

The hotel is conveniently located near major attractions and the pedestrian shopping street, and is only a 480-meter walk from the Maitreya Temple subway station. The breakfast is generous and varied. The service is excellent, and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The hotel offers free laundry facilities and dryers. If you're traveling, you might need to wait in line. Simply place your laundry in a laundry bag and inform the front desk staff. Your washed and dried clothes will be available at the hotel in the evening. Summer is peak season, but the hotel maintains a price of just over 300 yuan, making it a truly affordable option. It truly deserves to be a treasured hotel in Kunming.

Incredible service from the staff, they will promptly so their best to help you with your problems. After my friend and I split on our trip, I moved from the loft to the queen bed room, and it still had the same great amenities such as a stove top and washer dryer, and hotel provides a packet of laundry detergent. The thing to note about the drying function, if you plan to wash your, clothes, is that it takes 3 hours and you can't adjust the time. It's also very hot, so the machine door gets safety sealed and I had a hard time opening it. I called front desk and the staff kindly came upstairs and helped me open it. The room is clean and the hairdryer is Dyson.

3rd time staying in Sofitel Kunming, finally got the name of my favourite bellboy Xiao Hou. Warm and bright smile, always rushing to our assistance even with parcel collection. Honestly the service staff here is top tier - everytime we stayed at Sofitel we never needed to hold a single bag of shopping or luggage as the minute we returned to the hotel they would recognise us and assist immediately when we arrive. And we were in and out nonstop for about 5-6days total. Also Nancy from the L49 restaurant who was the one who made sure we got blueberries one morning for our baby even tho it wasn't on the menu. Still have many staff who made out stays amazing, just didn't take down their names. They are an experienced team, had an awesome stay in Kunming.

Stayed for two nights in a row, it was clean and tidy, the whole house was smart and really convenient, it can be said to be a spacious and bright version of the Four Seasons, the staff were very friendly and professional, washing and drying were convenient, the rice noodles for breakfast were good, and the transportation was convenient, it exceeded expectations, very good!

This hotel offers excellent value for money. The room was modern, spacious, and spotlessly clean—far better than expected at this price point. The breakfast buffet had a good selection, but surprisingly, there were no knives available. When I asked, staff couldn’t provide one, so I ended up buttering my toast with a chopstick.

I was really impressed by this Atour. As soon as I entered the lobby front desk, the chopping and Yili poured tea and poured water. I also troubled to carry the luggage to the room. The room facilities were also very comprehensive. Electric curtains, toilets, very convenient, breakfast was also very rich, there were local special rice noodles, bait silk, I ordered its ap product and slept very comfortably. I bought two pillows at the front desk and sent them back. When I checked out, the front desk also sent a souvenir. It was very warm. I will consider this Atour next time I come to Yunnan to play.
