Hotels in Daxing Airpot, Beijing

This is my first truly thorough review, and it completely changed my perception of five-star hotels, especially for a new property that's only been open for just over a year. I understand that a hotel near an airport should primarily cater to business travelers, but this one felt far too basic. I won't even dwell on how small it was, or that the bathroom only provided two sets of disposable toothbrushes. But surely, hygiene should meet basic standards? The restroom had a distinct urine smell, and the shower drain was clogged. Since we made a last-minute decision to stay and arrived late, we discovered the bedding was extremely damp and requested a change. By the time the replacement arrived, it was already very late. The kids needed to sleep, so after they got ready for bed, we put them to sleep first. After the kids showered, water spilled all over the floor. Not wanting to call customer service again and disturb their sleep, I decided to inspect it myself. I found that the drain wasn't just clogged; it was completely uncleaned and packed with hair. The thought of my children having to shower with their feet wading in that water makes me sick to my stomach. I was utterly speechless.

Excellent location; the hotel is conveniently located right inside the airport terminal. It only took me about 12 minutes from getting off the airport express subway to reaching the hotel. The front desk staff were friendly and polite, always greeting guests courteously. The room itself was clean and tidy, and facilities were new and well-maintained. However, there were significant issues. **Problem 1: Room Location** Looking at the evacuation map, my room was located at the very end of the corridor. It felt like an incredibly long walk from the front desk to my room, as if I'd walked miles, and it was all on the same floor! **Problem 2: Hot Water** Upon check-in, the front desk proactively informed me that due to long pipes, it would take a significant amount of time for hot water to come through, and advised me to turn on the tap as soon as I entered the room to let it run. I let it run for 30 minutes, but the water pressure was extremely low – just a slow trickle. The shower head was literally dripping water, not even a thin stream! One has to wonder if this is truly the hotel's idea of water conservation. After more than half an hour, there was still no hot water. I called the front desk, and they sent someone up immediately. The staff member was very polite and, after seeing the issue, instantly offered to move me to another room. However, since my belongings were already unpacked, all I wanted was a quick shower and to sleep. I suggested simply using another room to shower and then returning to my original room to sleep, which they graciously agreed to. It begs the question: if other rooms were available, why assign a guest to such a problematic one? It just creates inconvenience for everyone. The hotel ended up effectively utilizing two rooms but only getting paid for one, while I stood naked waiting for water for half an hour, even feeling a bit under the weather afterwards... **Problem 3: Wi-Fi and Phone** Additionally, neither the room key card nor any information within the room itself listed the Wi-Fi network name or password. The in-room phone also lacked a direct dial button for the front desk. Most guests would likely just tolerate this, as no one wants to trek all the way back to the front desk just to get a Wi-Fi password, right? **Problem 4: TV Issue** Finally, the TV couldn't be completely turned off (as shown in the picture). I asked a staff member about it, but they didn't know how either, so I resorted to just unplugging it. For a hotel that has been operational since 2019, I'm certainly not the first guest to encounter these issues. The management really needs to listen to feedback and make prompt corrections, or perhaps conduct some trial stays to gather comprehensive input. That's the only way to truly elevate the hotel's service.

This hotel is incredibly close to Daxing Airport, with a complimentary shuttle service that runs every 30 minutes (be sure to call ahead for airport pick-up). The ride to the airport takes only about 5 minutes. There are a few restaurants located right on the ground floor, which is convenient. Rooms are modern and tastefully decorated, and the soundproofing is exceptional; despite its proximity to the airport, we didn't hear any noise from planes taking off or landing. A small self-service gym is available on the ground floor. While the breakfast selection is a bit limited, it covers all the essentials, and the food quality is quite decent. Service from all staff members was very friendly and attentive. Overall, it's an excellent choice for a transit hotel.

With an early flight the next day, I chose the China Southern Pearl Hotel near Daxing Airport. It's conveniently located, just over a kilometer from the airport terminal. There's also underground parking available. The room was spotless, the facilities were good, it was very quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Although it's a large hotel, I didn't have time to try the breakfast. Overall, I was very satisfied. My favorite part was the hotel's 24-hour shuttle service, which transports guests between the airport and the hotel. It runs twice an hour and is always punctual.

The checkin was smooth and efficient. When we arrived, there was someone there immediately to pick up our bags, and checkin at the counter was quick. Altho we were about an hr early, we were given a room immediately. When I went back to the front desk to ask for another key since my daughter had taken the only key we were given, the service was friendly and quick.  Food at the only outlet was good / tasty but the decor was spartan. Not a nice or conducive place to enjoy a meal.  In the evening, on the way back from dinner at the airport terminal (”grandma” restaurant was good), I went to the concierge and there were 3 men there, and none of them was helpful. I had read about a complimentary buggy ride to the entrance of the airport terminal (about 300m away from the hotel) but I was told no. They said I could take the trolley they happen to have. If I do not take it now, they cannot guarantee it will be available in the morning. So much for good service. That was terrible. I called the operator later in the evening to ask about the gym. She was friendly and helpful. So I decided to ask her about the buggy ride to the airport terminal. She said yes it is available and free, and I should approach the concierge. I told her I did and thank her. The gym was decent. Spacious and well equipped. The next morning, a much friendlier guy was there when we checked out. When he saw us, we didn't even get a chance to ask, he immediately offered to take us to the terminal and he grabbed our luggage to wheel them to the buggy. Of course, we were pleased and appreciative. Later on, I had to double back to the hotel because I left my medication in the hotel room fridge. The same concierge or bellboy was there to help transport me back to the terminal.  Well, would we stay there again? Probably not if we have another choice, but we would if needed. 

So clean and the amenities they change everyday such as your towel, slipper and etc. near at Subway station. Staff are helpful and accomodating. Near at Daxing Airport Beijing.

Comfortable bed and pillows, good night sleep. 4. 24 hours hotel free shuttle bus to Daxing International Airport is an added advantage, very convenient. Suggest hotel to provide mobile phone contact number in addition to the fix line in order for hotel guests to be able to call back hotel from airport for shuttle bus pick up service as our phones were using eSim data which couldn't call to fix line except through the WhatsApp call or WeCat call. Overall our stay in Hilton Garden Inn Daxing International Airport was impeccable and we were happy and satisfied with our stay in this hotel.

The service provided by the reception desk is excellent, and each staff member is very helpful (for example, helping customers carry luggage to the vehicle and assigned room). The room is very new, quiet and clean. Good ambient lighting and cool air conditioning. Family accommodation and business travel are recommended for overnight pick-up and drop-off at the airport. 接待處提供的服務非常好，每個工作人員都非常樂於助人（例如，幫助客戶將行李提到接送車和指定房間） 房間很新，安靜又幹淨。 良好的環境照明和涼爽的冷氣機。 建議家庭住宿和商務旅行在機場過夜接送。

很不错的 • Excellent location: 5 minutes' walk from the subway entrance, full coverage of scenic spots and business circles, saving time and worry-free travel~ • Amazing environment: the lobby is light, luxurious and elegant, the room is clean and bright, the bedding is soft like sleeping clouds, and you can see the night view of the city with the window open! • Intimate service: The lady at the front desk smiled very sweetly, helped carry luggage, recommended local people's private food, and even delivered good night milk into the room~ • Breakfast is excellent: Chinese and Western buffet, freshly ground coffee + freshly steamed snacks, even picky friends praise the CD! • Cost-effective king: The price of the same lot is more affordable, parking/Wi-Fi is all free, and this house will be locked next time! Summary: From the details to the experience, there is nothing wrong with it. If you close your eyes on business trips and travel, you will become a repeat customer~✨
