I know Lisbon well and have tested several hotels—most of them were (very) good, except for Sublime. Despite being labeled as a 5-star hotel, it was a disappointment. Let’s start with the location: yes, it’s quieter, but also lifeless. There are barely any cool coffee spots or trendy restaurants around. The area is very urban and didn’t appeal to me at all. My first room was a Pateo Room, which felt cold and dark—I honestly thought I was in a basement. I later moved to a room on the first floor, which was better. Still, the cleanliness was shocking for a 5-star property. There was dust on the bedside table, the ventilation shaft above the shower (clearly visible) was completely covered in dust, the shower didn’t drain properly, and there was a hair lying in it. Breakfast was another letdown. The older gentleman serving was arrogant, barely greeted me. No warm “Good morning, what can I get you?”, nothing. Isn’t that the whole point of choosing a 5-star stay? I ended up leaving without eating. As for the room interior—of course that's subjective—but personally, I didn’t like it. It felt overcrowded with furniture and way too much decorative clutter. A bit overwhelming, to be honest.

Utterly delightful small hotel with wonderful staff, fabulous attention to detail, amazing breakfasts, beautiful rooms, and with a top flight restaurant attached to boot. Best hotel restaurant I’ve experienced - we ate here three times because the food and ambience were so good. Could not fault it really.

The photos don’t do it justice, it’s better. Friendly staff, fantastic rooms, and a bathroom to dream of (!) The breakfast made us smile before we even reach the restaurant. Oh, and yes – it’s clean, quiet, and full of character. An experience! bonus, we even found a local winemaker with a shop just a two minutes from the hotel – conveniently located in the block opposite, to the left. Perfect

Service and the attention to detail were flawless. I was made to feel very welcome and at ease. It felt genuine not scripted. They are very quick to respond to any inquiries. I Would definitely recommend if you enjoy being pampered. It is everything a boutique hotel should be and more.

Staying here right now. It’s been an amazing experience. The room is very unique and the location is perfect; however, it’s the service! The staff has been amazing in all respects. Having a wonderfully time and highly recommend this hotel for all.

We had a pleasant one night stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a large room on the first floor accessible via stairs. Breakfast was good - a selection of items provided to each table and an additional menu. Lovely restaurant (see separate review). We did find the room to be very noisy from cars driving along the road outside - this continued late into the evening and early morning. Better double glazing is needed. It is also difficult to know where to pull up when arriving at the hotel in a car as there is not a designated parking space. Valet parking is available which is very helpful.

My family stayed three nights in a Pateo Room and in a Lisboa Room. Pros - Convenient location with easy access to all parts of the city - Charming and tastefully furnished boutique hotel. The design is bright and cheerful, featuring different colors, patterns and textures. - Warm welcome, including help with luggage and welcome drink - Tasty welcome amenity consisting of egg tarts and a small bottle of cherry liqueur - Spacious, bright and airy Lisboa Room - Quality of bedding and linens - Luxurious minibar with extensive selection of beverages and snacks - Turndown service with small gifts - Convenient WhatsApp chat to communicate with front of house team - Prompt response to requests - Outstanding a la carte breakfast - Farewell gift of a bag of homemade biscotti Cons - I don't recommend staying in a Pateo Room. It was dark and felt small due to its odd room layout featuring a small bedroom, compact balcony facing the tiny glass-covered courtyard, and a comparatively large bathroom. - Road and flight noise/poor exterior sound insulation - No iron and ironing board in the room but can be requested. Unfortunately housekeeping removed it every day and I had to ask for it again. - Mistake on minibar bill that was resolved promptly

We had a great stay here with friends, a gorgeous room on the top floor with great amenities available including gym and pool nearby. The hotel team from reception to the bar were all great and gave us perfect recommendations for restaurants and things to do…. It was home from home.
