Memmo Príncipe Real - Design Hotels

The hotel is a great hotel. The rooms very comfortable and the view amazing. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. It’s tucked away in a very good location. We had one meal at the hotel and it was very good. Breakfast also was very good.

Principe Real is a fashionable area at the top of a moderately steep hill, about 10 minutes walk from the central areas of Lisbon. The advantage of this is that it is less touristy, with some great local shops and bars to take advantage of. The disadvantage is the walk up and down the hill - but there are several routes to explore, filled with different places to eat, drink or shop, and there is always the number 24 tram,or numerous buses, to get you back up the hill if you run out of energy. The hotel itself is located through a small driveway between shops - easily negotiable by all but the widest cars - and there in on site underground parking (at a cost, however). The modern design is quite striking nestled among the traditional shops, and the elevated location gives great views from the restaurant and outdoor bar and pool area, as well as most of the rooms. My room was located at the side of the building, but even so still commanded a nice view. A small verandah was unfortunately not accessible due to a door malfunction, and the room was overlooked by a neighbouring restaurant, which did affect privacy somewhat. The room was comfortable and stylish, if a little small (and with a luggage area that was cramped and difficult to open a large suitcase in); the bed very comfortable and the welcome treats delicious (including some local port and vouchers for the restaurant and bar - both of which were excellent). Staff were friendly and spoke great English (helpful given my very limited Portuguese!). Overall a very pleasant stay and I would stay here again - but perhaps request a forward facing room rather than one at the side or rear of the hotel.

Great hotel, great location, great service. Nothing not to like. The hotel itself is first class—all of the services and amenities you’d expect from a first-class hotel. The location is perfect—steps away from the Bairro Alto but way from the crazy crowds. The Príncipe Real area is great for more local-flavor shopping, interesting cafes and locations. Staff was great—more than willing to help. We would definitely go back and recommend it to others.

The service team was exceptional from beginning to end. They excel in the small touches. Like welcome card and a wonderful room gift for after dinner. Very clean and a cool vibe. Great rooftop and location. Don't go for the pool though. Small and cold. Would stay again and recommend to family and friends!

The staff is even more helpful and courteous than the usual Marriott standard, and the property is located in a nice neighborhood with a stunning view, lots of restaurants and cafes, and a park within easy walking distance. The restaurant in the hotel itself has excellent food and service.

An excellent hotel! The staff are great! The hotel is in a beautiful area where you can find good restaurants and many other stores. Also, you can parking the car in the hotel and walk around the neighborhood, you can see many beautiful old buildings and houses.
