Motel is tired

Could not fault the Longreach Motor Inn in Queensland. Rooms were impressive and clean, the beds very comfortable, meals in the dining room very exceptional, staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms on the ground floor had a rear door which was very handy.

My wife & I enjoyed a nice and relaxing stay at Longreach Motor Inn over the Labour Day long weekend in early May 2025. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-serviced throughout our stay. Onsite managers Martin & Amanda were extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful, offering many suggestions to us for things to do during our stay in Longreach. The complimentary shuttle service from/to the airport, as well as to the Qantas Founders Museum is nice, and made our stay even better “value for money”. We would have no hesitation whatsoever staying at Longreach Motor Inn again if ever we return to Longreach. Thank you Martin & Amanda!

This motel has some nicely renovated rooms and is quiet and comfortable. It is very centrally located - within walking distance to all amenities in Longreach. Ample car parking is available onsite. However, for the price we paid I had expected a little more. The “King suite” is just a room with a king size bed. The stairwells and walkways were untidy. While the pool looked inviting, when we explored it to make use of it, we were horrified to find it rather dirty, with multiple bloated, rotting frogs floating in the water. The stench of rotting flesh was awful. We decided to drive to the local council pool and paid to swim there. As February is the low season and it is very hot in Longreach at this time of year, it was a relief that the air conditioning and roof fan in the room were in good working order.
