AMAZING PLACE, Amazing location, Roger was great!

Today I brought my mom and her friends here to enjoy the pool for sunset as well as some food and drinks. The view is undeniably stunning and one of the best spots for sunset in town. Ronaldo and the rest of the staff worked so hard and were so kind while accommodating everyones needs. We really appreciate their hospitality and excellent service. I would definitely come back.

We had an incredible stay at Vista de Olas in Mal Pais, which offers stunning views of the Pacific coastline. We were welcomed with warm hospitality by Roger, the owner, and his friendly staff. Roger made it a point to check in with us daily, ensuring that we had everything we needed and that we were enjoying our stay. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The infinity pool was undoubtedly a highlight of our stay. The views from the pool were breathtaking, especially during sunset. We loved relaxing there in the evenings. We also appreciated the hotel’s eco-friendly approach, primarily powered by solar energy.Overall, we had a fantastic stay at this eco-friendly hotel. The combination of stunning views, excellent service, and a commitment to sustainability made it a memorable experience.

Ein traumhafter Aufenthalt im Vista de Olas Super Aussicht vom Pool. Einen perfekten Gastgeber mit Roger. Wir hatten eine recht große Villa und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Zum Strand runter kann man laufen oder mit dem Auto fahren. Der Strand ist super und zum surfen ist es wohl eins der besten Surfspots in Costa Rica.

Solo para ir en pareja. O a mirar el sunset desde la psicina. La calle de acceso esta en muy mal estado. Estas lejos de centro comercial y/o restaurantes. No hay wifi ni tv en las habitaciones. Las habitaciones tienen ventanas al mar, pero no miras el Mar desde la cama. El desayuno es pésimo. El hotel a las 8pm ya esta cerrado y oscuro, si necesitas algo después de esta hora estas solo en el medio de la selva literalmente. Si o si es necesario un vehículo, aunque no es fácil conducir en esas calles empinadas con pozos enormes y embarrados por la lluvia. También puedes gastar 20 dolares de ida y 20 de vuelta a cualquier lado si quieres salir. Por lo general los taxis son amables.

We have been staying with Vista De Olas for years and wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else! Every room (bungalow) we’ve stayed in has amazing views of the tropical surroundings and/or the beautiful ocean. Complimentary breakfast is served every morning and is fresh & local. We are so close to everything we need and are also content staying poolside all day with amazing views and delicious food. Bartenders (and much more) Erland and Allison always make us feel at home.

Worst experience ever! Such a beautiful location with so much potential but the service was terrible. We had to wait 2.5 hours for our food and when it arrived the food tasted sour and old. The guy working there was nowhere to be found and when he came with the rest of the food I pointed out that my food tasted old and he took the plate and threw it away. He then he rudely proceeded to tell me that I should have said something from the beginning and that he couldn’t do anything about it. He really started to argue with me about my food and was mumbling and talking to us with his back against us. The rest of the food was not appetizing at all and the smoothie made from “fruit” tasted like chemicals and separated after 5 minutes. When we were going to pay he kept being rude almost like it was our fault that we had to wait. When we asked for some sort of compensation he told us to stop being complicated and didn’t want to acknowledge that our service was bad and kept blaming his boss that wasn’t even there. In conclusion, beautiful place for sunset but please don’t order any food. Two of us who ordered ceviche had really bad stomachs the day after…

View was amazing, the extra care to make us feel comfortable was really nice. Attention to cleanliness was so nice.

Hôtel vendu comme luxe mais les chambres sont vétustes et limite propre. Une rénovation sympose. Personnel et patron désagréable. Petit déjeuner minable. Pour 200 euros la nuit on s attend à vraiment beaucoup mieux. Très déçu sauf de la vue depuis la piscine uniquement le matin car le soir ouverte au public et trop de monde vraiment désagréable.

If you’re in Santa Teresa this is an amazing place to see the sunset and have some good food and drink. MAX is amazing - one of the best people we have ever met - welcoming, fun and inviting. We came the first day and had such a good time we had to come back for a second. The problem with the second day Max was not at the bar to deal with us. Max was working harder than anyone else at the restaurant and we had to deal with someone else. This was not a good experience. We ended up leaving because of comments and feeling uncomfortable because of this person. This is a 5 star review despite this. We had a wonderful time and would definitely come back. Max is welcome in my home any day. To the restaurant- Please find someone else besides the person we delt with to make drinks and order food. If it’s not Max we don’t want to come back because of the last situation. I understand if you don’t like your job - but we are on vacation and don’t have to deal with your problems. Max - you are an all star and family to us. Thank you for everything

Hell begeistert und entsprechend wehmütig verliessen wir diesen Traumplatz nach unseren gebuchten 4 Nächten. Roger, der Besitzer, und Erlan sowie überhaupt das Personal waren total hilfsbereit und "really nice to be and talk with". In unserem Bungalow mit grosser Fensterfront stand ein sehr grosses Himmelbett mit der genial besten Matratze!! Das Frühstück war fein, ganz besonders der frisch gepresste Saft. Der ganze Platz ist magisch! Vor allem wenn man schöne Aussichten liebt, und die Ruhe. Ich hoffe, es gibt für uns ein nächstes Mal!
