We had a lovely time here.The hotel is very well kept and the staff were extremely helpful and very professional especially restaurant staff. The room we stayed in was spacious, well furnished, (room number 209).Very good food.Thank you very much for everything - we will definitely back !

Nous sommes venu dîner dans ce restaurant qui se veut pour la Sri Lanka « haut de gamme «  les plats sont immangeables trop épicés malgré nos demandes sans épices, retour en cuisine pour nous ramener les mêmes plats On demande des desserts à 22h et on nous annonce que la cuisine est fermée, nous voulions des panacotta et des glaces !!!! Le serveur était gentil mais peu efficace A éviter

The view of the room facing the sea is spectacular. The hotel is not new, the manager of the reception not too friendly, but the staff is nice and we could drive to Mirissa beach. Swimming in their man-made ocean pool is not the attraction of this hotel. This is a 3 star hotel with a great location.

We visited this place for the second time after staying here last year January. But this time our stay was disappointing. On arrival, no one was there to help us with our luggage. We were shown two rooms on the first floor, the balcony railing of one of the rooms was clearly broken and unsafe, specially if you have children. This was not informed to us until we noticed. So we upgraded to the deluxe rooms on the second floor, for which they charged us an additional amount than that was informed to upgrade rooms to us over the phone by the manager. Even after the upgrade to deluxe rooms, we were not provided with basic amenities like sugar and creamer for tea making. Even after we requested three times, they said they forgot about this. Extra pillows supplied in the wardrobe was full of mould and there were no pillow covers. Food quality is substandard. We found hair inside the omelette. There’s no one from the staff available after 9.30pm in the hotel except the security officer. We requested for their assistance but was informed that they will only be available on the next day after 8am. Manager’s phone was also switched off by this time. On the positive side, they were flexible enough to allow us to have music inside our room balcony and arrange a late breakfast since we had plans the next day early morning. The location is beautiful and peaceful. Overall, Poor service but nice location.

We spent three nights at Lakraj Heritage in Matara-Polhena towards the end of our 28 day journey around the lovely island of Sri Lanka. We were pleasantly surprised by the location of the hotel right on the beach. Our room was located on the first floor where the huge picture window gave us a perfect view of the sea. While at the hotel we took trips with our driver to whale-watch, see a turtle hatchery, swim with turtles and visit Galle which was about 45 minutes away. Breakfast was hosted in a penthouse restaurant – a fact which was not communicated to us at check-in. The breakfast was made to order and delivered by the friendly table staff. Snacks and drinks were available on the patio during the day. Unfortunately the same limited snack menu was provided in the evening so we went to nearby restaurants for dinner. The service from the hotel staff was always friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Priyantha, Suresh and Nandasena for making our stay such a happy one!
