Fantastic hotel with excellent service! The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and modern, and the location was ideal for exploring the city.
They were helpful with safeguarding our luggage on our last stay while we explored the city.

Very nice place for staying. Locate in the city with free tram outside and easily to access to different sightseeing spots. The room is tidy and clean with comprehensive facilities. The staff are friendly and able to provide the necessary support.

We had a good time at Grand Hyatt during the summer - Christmas, boxing day test and Yarra Valley vineyard. Everything was very accessible from here. Especially the famous Lune cafe is just in front of the hotel. Make sure you get their corner units, it had a great panaroma view.

Before I went to Melbourne, I had had the negative experience of Mercure in Thailand and I didn't want to choose it, to be honest, but I didn't have any choice because the price and location were better than other places.
Wow. I was surprise because everything was unexpected
I can say thanks to the hotel
1.The location is good and it is located in the CBD. Convenient transportation, lots of Asian restaurants, supermarkets and convenient stores. It is not far from the place I had to work.
2.The staff are great and helpful with service mind. Yes, I found a Thai girl staff who is really nice. We received the good service. Even though, the policy is they clean the room 1 in 3 days, but I was ok because we had to save the world.
3.The size of the room is small and the size of the beds were small too but enough for sleeping well and everything in the room was clean and function well.
4.No water bottles. I understood that we had to drink water from the tab. I was used to it because I knew it well, but my boss was not used to it and couldn't accept this. Please make the remark in the booking or put a paper in the room so that some people can prepare themselves for this culture. However, thanks for the milk in the fridge.
Just positive experiences with this hotel this time. Thanks to you all

The hotel had some positive aspects, such as a swimming pool and a central location, which made it convenient for exploring the area.
However, we had a frustrating experience with the cleaning service. Despite prior arrangements, the agreed-upon cleaning was only carried out late in the evening after a very lengthy discussion with the staff. This was quite annoying and negatively impacted our stay.
While the amenities and location were good, the service needs significant improvement.

Pros: Good location from Skybus, Good self-laundry service and free breakfast (but limited and basic options)
Cons:
- Curtain was not working but we didn't report it cuz we checked in and midnight and will be checking out early the next day
- Located next to a club so you would still hear thumping sound even though we were on the 19th floor. So if you're a light sleeper, better request for higher floors.
- You have to call the reception at the entrance for late check-in as the doors were locked. We didn't notice the instructions to call and thought we were at the side entrance. So we walked around the block until we realized that there was only one entrance.
- Poor bathroom door design that doesn't fully prevent water from wetting the dry areas

Very unfortunate we didn’t get the tallest floor, we stayed in 54th floor, so didn’t quite get the scenery I wanted. Windows were a bit dirty. But overall nice

We (wife n my 13 years old son) recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the room. The bed was much smaller than expected, which made it uncomfortable for a good night's sleep. Additionally, the air conditioning didn’t seem to work properly – it wasn’t cold enough to cool the room, leaving it uncomfortably warm throughout the night. For the price, I expected better quality and more comfort. I hope the hotel can improve these aspects for future guests.

The hire is low-key situated at a side street along Spencer Street/Southern-cross station with around 5 min's walk. I really like the design/decoration of the hotel - probably because I'm a wood lover. It's just quite classic yet a bit fashionable? Not quite sure what word to use cause I'm not a fashion chaser. The swimming pool feels relaxing and it's a bit dim (which makes me feel safe and private). The breakfast does not offer a huge range of selection - but everything is well prepared with good quality. I particularly like their salad which I could keep eating haha.

I booked this room with concerns because we had a brother/sister pair and the pictures showed WC and shower that had only frosted glass for privacy - something I really don’t get and seems to be some new fad in hotels nowadays, not just Ibis Melbourne Central. But glad that the staff were able to secure a room with privacy doors ahead of our stay.

XXiaojiaCame here as a ‘staycation’ for one night to celebrate my partners birthday. Service was good, the reception team made us feel so welcomed. Room was clean and the view of the river and bay was superior, as the name of this room type described. 10/10 👍🏼 we also used the gym which had a nice view too!

GGuest UserSuch a great, convenient location. Even though our roo was on the 7th floor and faced Spencer St, it was so quiet. Having the train station opposite proved ideal and it's proximity to the cbd and all it has to offer, made our stay great. Little cage over the road does a great breakfast. Don't forget to go explore Hardware Lane... we will be back for longer next time. Got a great deal on Trip.com too!!

Very Good
GGuest UserBefore returning back home, we spent another 3N here and was upgraded to Yarra River view. Requested for them to change the bedsheet as we felt it was a little dusty. They changed it but the housekeeping forgotten to provide us with a bathroom mat and also left our used spoon on the sink. Overall a pleasant stay but I don’t really have that five star hotel feel in terms of the room comfort level and service quality.

GGuest UserI arrived the hotel at 10 AM and explained that I would like to leave my luggage there and then return to check-in later.
The frontdesk manager Spencer let us check in earlier because the room was ready earlier.

GGuest UserThe room is large, both bedrooms have bathrooms, and a public bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped, the living room and dining room are large, and there are three balconies. The scenery is good, and it is perfect for family travel. There is a convenience store downstairs, which is very convenient. It's not far from the Melbourne Cricket Ground. If Swift's concert hadn't caused the house price to rise so much, I would have stayed here for 6 nights. The shortcomings are that I didn’t clean the room on the last day. I don’t know if I forgot about it.

WWombat ABy far the best hostel I have stayed at so far in Australia. A few minor things that could be improved:
1. Although the toilets are cleaned several times a day, the job wasn't done thoroughly. Even after cleaning there is still a lot of hair to be found on the floor.
2. The main public area which is the kitchen is very small and crowded. Noisy too as loud music is being played most of the time. I could see the hostel put few seats in front of the elevator on each floor to compensate for that. Good effort.
Thank you. This hostel would be my top choice now.

GGuest UserThe location is very good. It is only 10 minutes walk from Southern Cross. Skybus goes directly to the airport. The street in the middle of the ancient building is very beautiful. The breakfast is also good. The facilities are a little old, but the maintenance is OK. The area is also large enough.
