Palazzo Failla Hotel

Wonderful hotel that hails back to the golden age of travel. This family run hotel has impeccable staff who provide a marvellous experience in this unique historical area. Next door is an upmarket restaurant oozing in style and 10 metres away is a perfect little bistro with a fantastic selection of wines and a few snacks.

Bellissimo hotel barocco , i proprietari sono carinissimi e gentilissimi nonché pronti a dare consigli sui luoghi da visitare , situato a Modica alta consente di stare fuori dal turismo di massa e scendere la gradinata per vedere le varie chiese di Modica !!! Per cenare consiglio il Cappero a Modica bassa ottimo pesce e vini !!!

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo palazzo nobiliare di modica gestito direttamente dai proprietari di una affabilità ed ospitalità unici tanto da far passare in secondo piano qualche lavoro di manutenzione che la struttura necessita. La camera grandissima dal tono vintage soffitto altissimo e decorato bagno un po’ datato ma comunque comodo ed efficiente colazione ottima con prodotti locali in particolare un caffè ottimo. Da segnalare il vicino ristorante taverna del colonnello ottimo è gestito da una brigata giovane .

Se volete imparare ad essere dei buoni albergatori, dovete venire a conoscere i titolari di questo bellissimo albergo. Ottima posizione, bellissimo palazzo nobiliare. La nostra esperienza è ampiamente positiva nonostante un problemino nella Jacuzzi della nostra stanza. Il modo di gestire il disservizio e la continua gentilezza dei titolari ci ha indubbiamente colpito e ci ha fatto sentire coccolati fino all’ultimo secondo. Belle le stanze, ottima colazione. Prezzo ottimo.

From the moment we arrived, the staff could not do enough for us: they parked our car (the car park is an absolute boon, since Modica is a city of steps, steps and more steps; you'll have a job finding a parking place anywhere near where you're staying - and hire a small car: the streets are very, very narrow, and the citizens drive very, very fast!!), they helped us up to our room with our bags and they advised us on what to see and where to go. The service was smiling and friendly and prompt, the room was large and comfortable (we chose to pay more for a large double) - the ceiling height had to be 20 ft or more and was beautifully frescoed: I lay in bed in the mornings just looking at it - and the shower in the bathroom was excellent. Despite looking onto the street, our room was very quiet at night, too. You do get the odd Vespa zooming by like a large hornet, but not often (this was March, though; not July), and it didn't prevent sleep in any way. The hotel is perfectly positioned for easy access to the great churches of Modica, too, though you've quite a descent to the main shopping street, so beware of that if you are in any way challenged in your legs. The breakfast was sumptuous! The best coffee in the world, and delicious filled croissants. They even made us a sort of croque monsieur every day. Opposite the hotel, there is an excellent wine bar/wine shop for those interested, and they serve cocktails, too. All in all, I couldn't praise the Hotel Failla enough, and we can't wait to go again - possibly later in the year: we are already looking at flights.

Stanze molto belle e affascinanti in un palazzo d'epoca. Buona posizione nella città alta. Non lontana anvhe dalla città bassa. I proprietari sono gentilissimi, conoscono bene la loro città e danno molti consigli. Esperienza da rifare.
