"A newly opened hotel embedded in a building. Rooms were clean, thoroughly prepared for. Staff here have been mostly friendly, efficient and really hardworking. Especially front desk staff Ouyang Huimin who was especially welcoming and helped us feel right at home! For those who have difficulty sleeping at night, can request for steam eye masks and ear plugs which will be promptly delivered by the robot. Bottled water is provided everyday, we loved the provided bedroom slippers too! Type C, type A and even wireless charging is made available in the rooms. Breakfast is a modest spread of Chinese / Western cuisines. Convenient to have but not a must as dishes may not suit everyone’s tastes. We did thoroughly enjoy the fresh fruits sections though - effort was made by the staff in removing watermelon seeds, thank you! The hotel also generously provides a free late night porridge supper for all guests that ensures you won’t go to bed hungry! 24-7 self service laundry is available with 2 washers and 2 dryers but the hotel really takes it up a notch by helping you wash / dry them as the laundry room is very popular. There’s a well designed system for you to leave your instructions for the staff. One thing worth mentioning is that there is NO sheltered drop off and private cars/taxis can only drop you at the roadside where you’ll have to walk in. Do take that into consideration."

"Travelled with my parents (two seniors). The entrance to the hotel is at a small street at 凤祥楼. Hotel location is just right next to Yuu Garden (BARELY 1 min walk), and ~ 5min walk from Yu Garden Metro station. The hotel is very accessible to the attractions like Yuu Garden, Shanghai City God temple and Yu Yuan Bazaar. There are also wide range of local food (羊肉串, Xiao Long Bao, Sheng Jian Bao, Cong You Bing etc) and even Macdonald. My parents really enjoyed the close proximity to Yuu Garden and Yu Yuan Bazaar. One can feel the night bustling life outside the hotel as YuYuan old street comes to life as the night falls. Do note that the streets are off limits for 4-wheel vehicles, and Didi / Taxi drivers will drop u slightly away. The service crew are very warm and friendly. Do ask them for access to level 5 for some photo taking too. Overall, a very enjoyable stay. The front desk and service crew team are also very friendly, with great service attitude. In the hotel, there are also free washing machine and dryer for those travelling with families. One will definitely feel the hospitality of the crew and enjoy the location."

"This was my first time in Shanghai, and I stayed at the Crystal Orange Hotel Shanghai Bund Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. I was very impressed by the staff’s friendly yet professional attitude. They not only shared great tips on where to eat and explore in the area, but also went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. In particular, the lady who checked us in stood out—she remembered our room number and our earlier conversation about where we had been. She even followed up with us to ensure our stay was going well. (She was on duty on the evening of September 4th and the early hours of September 8th—kudos to her!) The hotel’s view was also fantastic. Each morning, we woke up to a stunning view of the Oriental Pearl Tower, which was just as magical at night when it lit up the skyline. The location was another major plus—close to shops, great eateries, and photo-worthy spots, all within easy walking distance. My friends and I had a wonderful time at the hotel, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai. A big thank you to the hotel and its amazing staff for making our trip such a memorable one!"

"The front desk service was excellent. They even helped us dry our clothes, and any issues we raised were dealt with immediately. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, and they recommended a fantastic crab roe noodle place nearby. Even during check-out, they thoughtfully offered us water. "Booked 1️⃣night at the newly opened Shanghai Expo Kapok Hotel, a Hyatt Collection Hotel, this weekend. First of all, the hotel's location is very advantageous. From the room, you can see the Pudong 3-piece suite and the Oriental Pearl Tower, and the Mercedes-Benz Pavilion is right in front of you. Due to the very hot weather, we dined at the hotel's Xiao Nanyang Restaurant. As soon as we stepped into the restaurant, the aroma attracted us. The waiter Xiao Zheng enthusiastically and proactively arranged for us to be seated, poured tea, and skillfully introduced the dishes. Squirrel mandarin fish is our favorite. It is a dish we must order every time we dine in a hotel. When I asked Xiao Zheng how this dish was, the young man confidently said, don't worry, this is our specialty and we will not let you down. I went into the kitchen to communicate with the head chef. The squirrel mandarin fish tonight was indeed delicious, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with the right sweet and sour taste. Clearing the plate was the best recognition. Thank you Xiao Zheng for his warm and friendly service. We enjoyed the food while chatting happily. 🥳🥳"

"I've never reviewed a hotel on Ctrip before, and I never thought a hotel like Zhixuan could go to such lengths. I have to point out that, perhaps due to the tourism festival, rooms near the Bund were hard to book that day, and prices weren't exactly cheap. They only had one room left, and it happened to be a family room. Honestly, I hadn't expected much from Zhixuan's family room, but the experience completely exceeded my expectations! Within half an hour of booking, the hotel's dedicated family room butler contacted me and added me on WeChat. They provided comprehensive and attentive service, explaining the hotel's amenities and child safety precautions, as well as providing nearby travel tips and a guide to the tourism festival. Upon arriving at the hotel room, my child and I were stunned. It exceeded our expectations. There are no other family-friendly rooms like this in downtown Shanghai. The slide, tree house, and ball pool in the room were perfect for the kids, allowing me to truly free my hands. It was also my child's first time experiencing such a novelty. She was so excited that she refused to go to bed until midnight, gazing up at the starry sky and refusing to turn off the ceiling light. The room was also thoughtfully stocked with snacks and fruit. Children's toiletries and bathrobes were also provided, and there were even plushies for the children as gifts. You can imagine it's just a smart choice. The hotel's location is impeccable. Right outside the door is Yu Garden and a three-minute walk to the Bund, making it very convenient for strolling around. The breakfast was varied and delicious. While the hotel isn't very large, it's understandable given its location in the city center. It had everything you need, and they thoughtfully provided children's tableware, which made the meal enjoyable for the child and a relief for us parents. Another pleasant surprise was the warmth of this hotel, which exceeded my expectations. The paintings in the work area and rooms were all created by children with autism. My son was the first to notice this and brought it to my attention. It's thoughtful and charitable. Details like these are truly touching, and they touched my child's heart. Highly recommended for parents traveling with children on weekends. You get what you pay for, and it's a truly unforgettable stay!"

A special bonus was the complimentary city tour offered by the hotel, which included highlights like The Bund and Yu Garden—an unexpected and thoughtful touch that added great value to our stay. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and consistently went above and beyond to ensure we felt comfortable and well cared for. Our room was impressively spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with smart features that made everything feel effortless and modern. Overall, Heyitang Hongqiao offers an exceptional experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai."

"Somehow got this mixed up with the Holiday Inn that's by the airport... Be aware this one involves a ~35min ride in a little mini-bus which isn't ideal for a late night layover arrangement. That said, the staff were helpful and acccomodating, and the facilities were good and clean. The shower was good, decent pressure. Little line in there to hang a couple of things on so I could wash + dry them. Very handy. Comfortable bed. Basically everything here is great and good value, but the location is not the best, and the time spent getting there and back on the shuttle bus schedule is time that could be spent sleeping, so bear that in mind."
