This facility was a surprise in many ways. Across from the front of the hotel is a lovely little park. The check-in was easy (I could have even done an online check-in). The staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was a studio apartment, nicely furnighed. There was a sink, hotplate, micro, and even a dishwasher which was unexpected.  I explored the surrounding neighborhood in several directions and found many places of interest. Some were historical, some were interesting ting eating & drinking venues It was not a long walk to the West Quay Mall for shopping or to the SeaCity museum. 

Located near to Southampton Central railway station so a good place to stay when travelling by train. The hotel is fairly clean and fittings are adequate, although I wouldn’t consider it substantially better than an Ibis Budget. It lacks a laundry room and you need to book an external service to get laundry done, or go to the Ibis Budget in the same area which has a (fairly expensive) coin laundry. Parking is not included and is rather expensive at an additional £12 per night.
