Double room Very comfortable bed and very good bathroom but the indoor aircondition was not suitable for the island's weather during summer period. Its location is very hood as it is 10mins walking distance from the centre.

Handy, fairly quiet location. Just turn right and walk for 15 ish minutes and you're at the little garden in the main bit if town. My private (en suite) room was nice and clean, although the air con was not working. Could pop a chair on the balcony... would make it usable... Bring your own cutlery - there was a single knife available between everyone staying. I understand that people steal stuff, but it needs to be replaced. Great little corner shop just outside. BUT don't buy much food in one go - there is a single fridge for everyone staying, and no cupboard space. Breakfast food is yogurt and sliced bread, ham, cheese and jam. Wobbly banisters and broken picnic table.... but maintenance guys doing other stuff - why not fix all on one go ???

Se puede ser un poco más atento con los huéspedes. Raramente están en la recepción. Al desayuno le falta fruta casi todos los días. Las habitaciones se pueden limpiar mejor y reponer el papel de manos del baño. Esperaba un juego de sábanas después de 4 días. La toalla la cambiaron a los 6 días.En general necesitan una mayor predisposición y empatía por los huéspedes. Calidad precio un poco elevado teniendo en cuenta las prestaciones y servicios ofrecidos a los clientes.

Highly recommend this hostel. It was my first stay in a hostel as there was a big event happening this weekend and hotels were very pricey. Therefore I thought I would give it a try as it looked very decent from the pictures and reviews. I was correct! I stayed 3 nights. Very clean and over the top helpful and friendly staff. Especially TELMA! She was awesome! You can tell all the staff actually cared about their jobs and made it that much more inviting. Comfortable sleep and very close to everything. Even helped me with airport transfers, day tours and general knowledge of the island. Loved my stay! Sincerely, Daniel

Ich habe schon viele Hostels bewohnt, alles war gut. Das City Hostel ist die reinste Katastrophe! Schlaf ist unmöglich, ein ständiges Kommen und Gehen der Zimmerbewohner die ganze Nacht über. Alle Türen sind sehr laut. Keinerlei Ablagemöglichkeit im Zimmer, lediglich ein Fach aus OSB-Platten zum einschliessen der persönlichen Sachen. Das Frühstück war eintönig, öfter hat etwas gefehlt z. B. Milch oder Butter. Der Kaffee war nur Getreidepulver zum Selber einrühren. Ich war mit meiner Bekannten dort und mußte in 4 verschiedenen Betten schlafen. Bei unserer Ankunft mußten wir in schmutziger Bettwäsche schlafen. Die Planung der Zimmerbelegung lässt somit zu Wünschen übrig. Das schlimmste ist der Kakerlaken-Befall. In Küche und an der Rezeption haben morgends die netten Tierchen tot auf dem Rücken gelegen. Die Pestizide wurde wahrscheinlich immer in der Nacht gesprüht. Die Rezeption ist nur sporadisch vormittags stundenweise besetzt.

This tells how bad we are. -You changed rooms (not 4 but 2 times) because as you made several reservations when you were at the hostel, the rooms you were in were already reserved and as such we had to accommodate you in other rooms, but this was explained to you and accepted by you at the time. - Unacceptable is we assigned you a bed and you change beds and you literally made another Spanish lady cry because you were very rude to her because you wanted her bed even throwing her bags out of the room and pushing the other lady. It was an unacceptable behavior, so we should have invited you to leave the hostel at that moment, which is what we should have done at the start. A lady of your age should know how to behave with other people, unfortunately not the case. - Yes it is possible to miss something at the breakfast but in that case my colleague is there to replenish whatever is needed. - dirty sheets??? I don't understand why you didn't speak to us and made 2 additional reservations for more days. -Yes we have cockroach / other insects and rats disinfection at the hostel, but we are not the ones doing it but a certified company and no, it is not done at night nor is it made by us, this is an idea of someone who really just wants to talk bad about us and who knows that she had an unacceptable and reprehensible behavior in all aspects in the our hostel. All the best for you but we like happy and content people at our hostel not people not people unhappy with themselves that only creates problems with other guest, please do us a favor and DO NOT return to our hostel.
