Comitas Isla del Aire

We’ve had our second stay here and have had a great week. The resort is small and peaceful, the rooms spacious and clean (even the one bed is a good size) The bathrooms have also been updated since our visit last year. Yes the resort is quiet and so is Punta Prima but if you want lively entertainment or an Irish bar go elsewhere. If in Menorca a car is a must to visit some of the amazing beaches and cities/ towns. Back next year, so much be good!

We've just returned home from a 10 night stay. The apartments are very clean and well equipped. Beds made and towels changed daily. Food from the pool bar has been excellent, can't comment on the buffet restaurant as it didn't seem good value for money, nor did it look particularly appealing. Staff have all been very helpful and friendly. Plenty of loungers but the pool is small so does get quite busy. Pool tables and ping-pong table near poolside too. Ground floor apartments have a small garden with their own loungers and patio doors opening onto pool side. First floor apartments have a balcony but can only be accessed by a back door. Punta Prima is quiet, just a handful of restaurants and supermarkets. We tried 4 of the restaurants and they were all ok and of a similar quality. No pubs or much atmosphere. There's also a small market a couple of times a week selling clothes and jewellery. If you have young children or just want a very relaxing holiday then this is for you. If you're looking for a bit more to do then probably not. We visited the zoo (23 euros in a taxi) which was great, went on the ting ting train to Binibeca and had half a day in Mahon (15 euros in a taxi) but that was about all there was to do without hiring a car and going much further. Negatives - wifi is shockingly bad, cost quite a bit topping up data allowances. Avoid apartment 101 unless you have small children... it is next to the soft play room so you constantly have children running round your garden. The area was just too quiet for us and too remote to be able to travel to other places without spending a fortune

Another great week in this hotel. This was out fourth visit. This time, due to the kids growing up a little, we had one of the larger two bed apartments. These are of the usual high cleanliness but offer much more space and plenty of space for our family of four (two teenagers). Won't dwell on too much, my appreciation of this hotel is well documented, but will call out one of the prevoius reviews regarding sunbeds and general entertainment/things to do. This hotel has zero issues with sunbed allocation. In the 5 weeks I've stayed at this hotel prevoiusly I have never had to get up early to secure a sunbed. The main reason I return each year! The resort is indeed quiet and the hotel does have very limited entertainment, a quick AI or Google search would have told you this before you booked a holiday! They are not selling something they do not offer. Sightseeing is no issue. The resort is small and quiet but very well located with good bus links to the rest of the Island. Menorca is tiny, nowhere is far and sightseeing is easy and plentiful. Top hotel offering a relaxing, great value holiday. Thank you team Isla Del Aire!

We are a family of 4 (kids are 11/9) and stayed in a 1 bed first floor apartment. We were self catering. Absolutely loved the hotel- apartment was spacious, clean and air con was great. All balconies/gardens face on to the pool. The garden apartments looked lovely and would look at booking one if we returned. Pool spotless and plenty of loungers. Only complaint- hotel needs to invest in some new sturdy parasols. Not the flimsy cheap ones they’d dotted around the pool! Food and drinks were fab by the pool. Staff were friendly and super helpful- and even helped us hire a car before we arrived. Punta prima is small with only a few restaurants- perfect for us but may not be everyone’s cup of tea. We were 1 min from an excellent supermarket and 5 min walk from the front and beach (which we really liked). We frequented the beach bar (Basico) a lot- food and drinks were really good! Recommend Black Lizard for kayaking who are situated at the end of the road. All in all, we’d love to return- we enjoyed exploring Menorca and all the beautiful beaches and coves, as well as just hanging out in PP and at the apartments. Our kids loved the silent disco and made friends with the other children their age. There was just a lovely feel to the place- really intimate- and made our holiday one to remember!

These apartments are excellent.First impressions were excellent, we arrived shortly before check in time having sailed through Mahón airport. Our room wasn’t ready as we expected, but we were given a cold drink (cava for the adults, apple juice for the kids) and were able to store our luggage securely until we received a phonecall an hour later advising the room was ready. We paid the extra to upgrade to the ground floor terrace and it was worth every penny, we were able to relax on our own private sunbeds and watch the children playing in the pool. The rooms are spacious with a rollaway sofa bed for the 2 children and a bedroom with 2 single beds pushed together as is the norm in Spain. Daily housekeeping services are excellent. The grounds and pool area are extremely well maintained and sunbeds are available around the pool all day long - no 6am sunbed wars here! Stayed self catering, so can’t comment on the food, but the resort has some lovely restaurants which I have reviewed separately. It’s easy to get to neighbouring Binibeca for a change of scene. We walked there (about an hour from the Isla Del Aire) and got the land train back which cost €15 for a family of 4. Punta Prima is a small, quiet resort with the apartments in a residential area 5 minutes walk away from the beach. There are half a dozen restaurants, car hire shops, a handful of supermarkets and a sports bar in the resort as well as a pharmacy & doctors. We had been planning to visit the Splash Sur Menorca waterpark, however, it is closed for the 2025 season. As an alternative, we purchased day passes at the nearby Insotel Punta Prima which are €100 for adults and €50 for kids but that gives you all inclusive access to the hotel facilities including the watersides, drinks, lunch and dinner and the entertainment from 10am to midnight. The beach is smaller than we expected, think the photos on Jet2’s website have been taken somewhat creatively. 2 sunbeds and a parasol cost €20 to hire for the day. There is quite a lot of seaweed on the beach though, there are much nicer beaches elsewhere on the island. We had a lovely stay and would not hesitate to recommend these apartments for a laidback stay in a quiet resort. If you’re looking for nightlife, Punta Prima won’t be for you, but it’s ideal for young families with lots of public play areas for children.
