Cloud Nine Wilpattu by Aaradhya

What a lovely place! The location is fantastic for getting to Wilpattu; there are two entrances into the park and the south entrance is a bit easier to get in. The hotel itself was lovely (lovely pool, the crow's nest is fun, food was great) and management stood out as responsive. Would absolutely stay again.

We stayed at Cloud Nine Wilpattu by Aaradhya as a couple during the last stop of our honeymoon, and it was the perfect way to end our journey before flying home. Nestled in the heart of nature and surrounded by the stunning beauty of Sri Lanka, this boutique hotel is truly a hidden gem. The atmosphere is peaceful and unique—just what you would hope for in a boutique experience. The location is ideal for visiting Wilpattu National Park, and we used the opportunity to go on two unforgettable safaris. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, especially considering the remote location. What really stood out to us was the hotel’s strong commitment to sustainability and supporting the local community. Not only is the food locally sourced and delicious, but the hotel also employs local staff, offering opportunities to individuals who might not otherwise have access to jobs in the hospitality sector. While English is spoken by the staff, for more detailed inquiries, the hotel manager is always available. He runs the hotel with great dedication, warmth, and professionalism, making guests feel truly welcome and well cared for. One highlight was the hotel's viewing platform, where we could take in the breathtaking natural surroundings. All in all, this was a truly special experience—peaceful, authentic, and memorable. Highly recommended for nature lovers and those looking for something beyond the ordinary.

We had our annual staff trip to Wilpaththu and Cloud 9 was our stay for 3 days. Amazing service by the staff who accomodated our requests to the fullest. Sameen the GM was always around to make sure his guests were taken care of to the utmost comforts. Rooms were to the standards as anticipated and the food tasted good too. I had a wonderful stay at Cloud Nine Wilpattu by Aaradhya Hotel in Samagipura, Sri Lanka. The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and always ready to help, which made the experience feel warm and welcoming. The environment is very calm and peaceful — perfect for relaxation. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and the joyful atmosphere really made it feel like a home away from home. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

Beautifully serene. Huts in jungle like seeming setting. It is Down small dirt road and easy to get to. Rooms are good size and very clean. Excellent shower. In room the A/c is good despite being remote. Good WiFi all areas. Pretty room Balcony. Lovely staff . Everything you need in room including hairdryer , umbrellas, Mosi plug, torch and fridge. Has tv but did not try. Room had 1 double and 2 twins - so would be good for a family. Set menu for evening meal from which you Choose in advance. Food good. Drinks Higher price as captive There is a Viewing platform but Don’t even try and use with small kids or even older children without strict supervision . In terms of on site activities apart from pool and prebookable trips ( 1 1/2 hours from Wilpattu NP) we could not find anything to do. I note other comments about adjoining mangrove etc but there is absolutely no information and staff were very unforthcoming. Might have been language barrier . Lack of information earns 4 instead of 5 rating.

"Cloud Nine Wilpattu" is a beautifully clean and well-maintained property, offering a serene escape in a stunning natural setting. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring a truly enjoyable stay. The surrounding nature is breathtaking, and their arrangement of a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide for visits to Wilpattu National Park added immense value to our experience. Highly recommended!
