Riu Palace Boavista - All Inclusive

Hotel is top class staff 100% cleanliness 100% foodb100% just a couple of things to make it perfect lighting could be better around the hotel at night going to rooms the walkway to beach and swimming pools is quite long so a few benches along the way would be great for the less mobile and there could be hand rails down ramp to beach would be great my husband couldn't go on the beach also sunbeds could do with long pads/ cushions on they were very uncomfortable the worst I have experienced this would make this hotel 100% perfect

The staff working at the hotel are lovely, always there when you need them and so helpful and friendly. The food is delicious and the alcohol flows very freely. The location is perfect if you want a quiet holiday as the hotel is quite isolated, a 10 minute taxi ride to the nearest small town, but the pools and sun terraces lead onto the beach. The only disappointment was no waiter service at the pools which for someone with limited mobility would have been very helpful. I stayed at the Riu Palace in Costa Rica a few years ago and one of the best things was the waiter service at the pool.

Absolutely fantastic holiday, it was so good we’ve already booked to go back next year. The hotel and facilities are absolutely first class, the food is delicious with so much choice every day with no repeatability through the week. The themed restaurants do get booked up but it’s because they’re so good. The Steakhouse was the best, we went twice through our stay. The staff were all superb, very friendly and engaging, plenty of waiting staff for all meals without making it crowded and they always greet you with a genuine smile. The daytime entertainment staff were the best of any holiday we’ve been on, not pushy around the pool but when you got involved they made each of the games so much fun for everyone there. A special mention to Alessio who is just the most engaging and friendly guy we’ve met abroad and Junior who tailored the daily workouts perfectly, we’re looking forward to seeing you both again next year 🤞 No rush for the sunbeds, there was always plenty of choice even for four together at any time through the day. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious and they all have a decent view. We’re not big drinkers so we didn’t use the optics in the room but appreciate these would be good for most people. The grounds are so well looked after it creates some beautiful views. The evening entertainment was a bit lacking, we may have been spoilt by the quality of the singing in Sal (Santa Maria) last year but with a 10 year old in our party it’s not really our thing anyway so it didn’t impact our holiday. If you’re thinking of booking this place, just do it, you won’t be disappointed… I just wish we could go back sooner!
