Great location and value for money

The resort is spread out in acres it’s a nice huge property but does need alot of maintenance in the rooms and common areas. The reception staff Aisha helped me book the ocean view room in the premium category. The staff is polite and trained and willing to help whenever needed. The food was decent, the thali we had in the restaurant Tide was amazing. The other restaurant services need a revamp they are pretty slow but Suraj the restaurant manager tried assisting in the best way possible. The restaurant BF spread does not account for a 5 star category. The room services are extremely slow too. We had a couple spa which was a delight and worth every penny. The stay was overall decent but definitely not a 5 star worthy as they claim to be.

Visited the resort for 2 nights and overall had a mixed experience — the property itself is beautifully designed with a fantastic ambience, but it seriously falls short of expectations for the price charged. Property & Ambience: The resort grounds are very well developed, lush, and scenic — truly gives a premium feel when you enter. The private beach access is the only standout and unique attraction that makes the property special. The small Ganesh temple inside the resort, surrounded by greenery, adds a peaceful touch. Rooms (Villa Stay): The rooms were below standard for the tariff charged. Villas are old and not up to modern Fern standards. Bathrooms are outdated, lighting is dim, and basic fittings like lights and exhaust fans were not working. The indirect mood lighting looks nice but is insufficient for actual use. Overall, not value for money considering the high cost per night. Food & Restaurants: The restaurant offers a good variety and the food was genuinely tasty and well-prepared. The staff in both restaurants were extremely courteous and helpful. There are two dining areas — one inside the resort and another at the private beach: From 12 PM to 3 PM, you get veg/non-veg thalis. From 3 PM to 11 PM, they serve starters and drinks right at the beach — a great setup for relaxing evenings. Beach & Location: The private beach has a nice vibe but the water isn’t as clean or blue as Aare–Ware Beach nearby (20–25 mins drive). Ganpatipule Temple is just 10–15 mins (4–5 km) away. Connectivity Issues: The biggest disappointment was zero mobile and internet connectivity throughout the stay. There is no network coverage for any provider inside the property, and the in-room Wi-Fi worked for barely 30 minutes total in two days — unacceptable for such an expensive resort. This makes even basic communication (voice or Wi-Fi calls) almost impossible. Service: All staff members were very polite and eager to help — service quality was genuinely good despite infrastructure issues. Verdict: While the property ambience, private beach, and staff hospitality were great, the resort fails badly in room quality, connectivity, and value for money. A pleasant stay only if you’re visiting for photography or beach relaxation — otherwise, it doesn’t justify the cost or Fern brand name. ⭐ Overall Rating: 2.5 / 5 ❌ Not recommended — except for the private beach experience.

Our stay at Blue Ocean The Fern Resort & Spa, Ganpatipule, was truly memorable! Aaisha & shravani at the front office was extremely helpful,made our experience extra special. We loved relaxing at the private beach and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious thali. A perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and serenity!

We had a wonderful stay at Blue Ocean The Fern Resort & Spa, Ganpatipule. The front office staff, especially Aaisha, was extremely helpful, and Baggy, ***** with drivers Mithil and Gaurav, made our experience even better. We thoroughly enjoyed the private beach and indulged in the relaxing spa therapy. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway!
