My friends and I are currently staying at Sun Beach Resort, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend it. Our booking was based on misleading advertisements (partly due to our holiday provider), as we were only shown images of the sea view rooms. Upon arrival, we were directed to the garden view rooms, which are part of a completely different and significantly worse hotel. The garden view rooms are dated and lack cleanliness, not at all reflecting the images advertised on travel booking websites or by Sun Beach Resort themselves. We complained to both the hotel and our travel provider, and had no option but to pay an extra £30 per night to upgrade to the sea view rooms in the main hotel, which are indeed much nicer. However, the staff's behavior has severely detracted from our experience. One night, my friend became severely unwell and dehydrated, having already drank all of our bottled water. With no shops open at that early hour, I went to reception to see if they could help in any way by allowing us to purchase more water. I was met by the lovely Konstantinos, who simply shrugged and said he "doesn't care" and that there was "nothing he can do" because I should have purchased water for the room, even after I had explained the situation. While I understand this, his complete lack of basic customer service and consideration was appalling. Overall, while the sea view Sun Beach Resort may have potential to improve, do not be mislead into booking a garden view room. You will be sorely disappointed by the substandard rooms and the run-down condition of that separate hotel. We will not be returning. It's a shame as, once again, the hotel has potential, but it is let down by unclear advertising and a lack of basic customer service from some members of staff.
