We absolutely loved our stay. The location: both close to metro station and to French concession’s most hip shops and cafes. The staff is lovely and even helped us with taobao difficulties (special thanks go to 静雯). The room is small but everything is convenient. Amenities smell amazing: natural verbena scent in the style of Aesop. The breakfast is cheap and very good: zhou, hot soy milk, douhua, steamed buns, Shanghai style onion bread, yogurt, fresh fruit, veggies, stews, eggs, noodles… traditional Chinese style (and we love it). Free laundry is a blessing really. Our room was cleaned every time we used a “please make up room” card. Freshly brewed hot herbal tea — always at the front desk. 10/10. Price-quality ratio is just perfect. We hope to come back soon. Thank you, HanTing.

I have stayed in a lot of business hotels of this tier in China and this is the one - I will choose no other! This is better than most other Hanting Hotels because it is ACTUALLY QUIET. Not all are created equal, and most biz hotels in this range have paper thin walls and really loud guests, but like others have said, its an actually quiet and comfortable hotel. Fully updated amenities, very comfortable mattress and oversize pillows, thick linens, coffee and tea in the room. Very relaxing stay and will 100% choose this again for my next stay in Shanghai.

We stay in this location a lot and I like the simplicity of this hotel. It's a small room but has everything you need.

Perfect place if all you need is a bed to sleep in. Initially I got a room that was full of cigarette smoke. I complained to the staff and they changed the room for me immediately with no questions asked. In the other room I still got smoke coming from the bathroom from time to time. The trick was to always use the vent (it's so quiet you can't tell it's there, but it is), and while you're away to stick a bunch of towels into door gaps to stop the smoke from entering the room. With that solved my stay was great. Room was facing away from the busy street and was relatively quiet. Never heard my neighbors.

Great spot to drop your bags and explore. On line 9 which is great for traveling around Shanghai. Room was adequate. Good shower/toilet faculties. Self service washing machine also great addition. If you’re after a hotel with a lot of amenities this isn’t for you, this is more of a business style hotel.

The hotel is everything you need for your city visit. New, clean and well connected. It is not super close to the city centre but you arrive in no time. The hotel has good facilities: laundry, breakfast etc…everything was easy and very good value

Nice location, close to subway. Very clean rooms. Stayed during the typhoon, no issues.

Amazing little hotel, very clean all around, the rooms and the lobby. Breakfast has good variety. I especially like the stir fried fresh veggies. The front desk is very helpful. Food and other goods delivered to the hotel are sent to the rooms by a little robot.  The robot has been very punctual and precise. Often times I get the notice from the food company and the robot is already at the door. Definitely will stay here again.  I stayed at the hotel for 3 weeks while tending to family near by.

The staff were INCREDIBLY helpful and super friendly. We checked in quite late but the woman at the front desk greeted us with a smile and made sure the process was smooth. The room was exceptionally clean and the hotel is located in a great spot. It's walking distance away from a metro station, a few places to buy some groceries, and many different places to eat or drink. Would HIGHLY recommend anyone to stay here and we would definitely come back in the future!

A lovely place to stay. The neighborhood is amazing, lively but not too busy. I’d love to be back if there is a chance for me to visit Shanghai again.

Modern and clean hotel. Breakfast selection, larger than expected, was tasty and of good quality. Staff didn't speak a word of English, but this didn't pose any problem. Room was small.

Staff charged me for full day's price when I just wanted to extend for 4 hours.

It's compact but clean and convenient

Very clean,in the room, and in public areas. All new facilities. Very helpful staff. Excellent breakfast, varied and delicious. Laundry room is wonderful. Great neighborhood for walking around. Near #9 and #12 metro. (Very small room with no shelves or drawers, but so nice that we booked it for two trips) Highly recommend..
