This is a fantastic place to stay at, right in the center of historic Shaoxing, close to the central sights, and nonetheless in very quiet surroundings. Very nice and good-sized rooms, all done in massive wood (although not a genuine historic building), good (and sizeable) bathroom. You get exactly what you see on the website (trip.com). The set Chinese breakfast is excellent. The lounge is huge (in all three dimensions). Might be a bit noisy internally, if more fully booked than during my stay. Very friendly staff, don't speak English (with one exception), but your are told that up front and there are apps that do the job, nowadays; so no problem.

There’s something incredibly calming about watching the rain dance against the tiled roof, and I found it to be the perfect setting for writing and contemplation.
After a peaceful day, I ventured out to the nearby old street for dinner and drinks. The vibrant atmosphere, with its charming shops and lively eateries, made for a delightful evening. I enjoyed exploring the local cuisine, which was a wonderful complement to my stay.
The homestay offered remarkable value for money, combining comfort with an authentic cultural experience. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met while allowing me the space to find my own rhythm.
If you’re looking for a place to clear your mind and connect with your inner self, I cannot recommend this homestay enough. It’s a true haven where traditional beauty meets modern-day tranquility. I left feeling refreshed and inspired—exactly what I had hoped for.

It is next to Xu Wei Art Palace and very close to Lu Xun's former residence, with convenient transportation. It is a renovated old house with only 9 rooms and a very large public area. It is a bit too luxurious in the city center. It is also free to upgrade to a suite with a balcony. The room is simple and comfortable. It is worth recommending

The style is as shown. I haven't lived in a wooden house for a long time. I told the front desk that I was not used to the smell of wood. They moved in an electric fan and then changed it to a balcony room. It was warm and gentle.

The location is unique. I especially like the style of the B&B and the facilities are very good. It is worth staying! Next door is the Xu Wei Art Museum, and a few steps away is Cangqiao Street. It is very convenient to go anywhere.

The location of the B&B is excellent, but the scenic area is quiet and not noisy. I don't know if it is a reconstruction of an old house. The room is a high-ceilinged solid wood roof and a mixed structure of brick and wood. It feels very warm and comfortable to live in, and it also has the characteristics of Jiangnan folk houses. The staff are also polite and considerate. I recommend this place. Except for the breakfast, everything else is very good
