This inn has the vibes of a decent hotel room. Plus points are its great location, loft experience and long heritage. The interior decorations are full of description of its long history. The room is clean and well maintained.

Staff were friendly and went the extra mile to make me comfortable. They were also able to arrange a private car last minute to take me to Xunkong Temple and the Yungang Grottoes. Love the VR headset and tea in the room!

Amazing start to our Shanxi visit - despite freezing subzero weather, our hearts are warmed by our most welcoming and beautiful Ms Zhang, who single-handedly took on and resolved all our issues, always with a smile and utmost efficiency and diligence; from picking us up at the train station, making us warm fresh longjing tea and fresh fruits every night breakfast preparation, recommending a driver (Ms Guo) to maximise our time in Datong, recommending the best local restaurants (Fengling Restaurant is our favourite), assisting us with our laundry, taking us to the bank to exchange money. There’s nothing she cannot do! Most importantly she is so attentive to my elderly parents, especially my mum who has mobility issue- Ms Zhang drove us to and from the city and we are very thankful for her very warm hospitality. She went out of her way to make our stay so comfortable and on the last night, took us on a drive around the ancient city to absorb the night scenery. My mum thinks this is one of the best hotel she has stayed in. Comfortable bedding and beautifully designed and well-fitted out with Smart technologies. Most highly recommended!

I want to say that this hotel can be called a responsive hotel. I want to drink old yogurt. It is not the time for the front desk to help me get it. It is still the hotel's own small porcelain bottle. The passion fruit honey really surprised me. It's not good! The nearby barbecue stall is also very good, I feel the enthusiasm of the people of Datong! The quilt is too hot to have extra sheets to satisfy. The screen can't be cast. The aunt and colleagues in the engineering department will solve it immediately. There are many small things on the first floor that can be taken casually, such as iodophor cotton swab eye mask earplugs, mineral water popsicle white fungus, etc., very arrogant! Free pick-up and drop-off, actually pick-up is a Daben commercial car, also very arrogant! Although the small details are not as good as Atour, such as the quilt is too thick. The air conditioner is too cold to sleep, but this price is invincible for the price/performance ratio, praise!

The location is right next to the city wall, with a large group of newly built courtyards. Parking is available on the roadside and in the alleys. You can just scan a yellow bike to get to the Drum Tower in a few minutes. It is within walking distance of my favorite Liumaojiu restaurant and Erban Daoxiaomian old shop. The homestay is relatively new, the whole house is smart and convenient, the environment is good, the service staff is very attentive and will take the initiative to ask about the breakfast time the next day, and introduce the surrounding food and travel guide. The breakfast is also very exquisite. The Longqian I stayed on the third floor, with three windows that can see the city wall, which is still very beautiful at night. The house has its own small yard. This time I went there just in time for one day when it rained, it was very beautiful. A fruit plate and drink were given when checking in, and a souvenir was given when checking out. The store owner was attentive. If you drive here, the navigation is not easy to find. You can navigate to Yunxiju, turn right in, and you will arrive after passing Boyun Xiaozhu. The disposable items are quite complete and the brands are OK. The wash basin is open, so you need to be careful about splashing water when using it. If you put a floor towel at the door of the shower room and open the door, the floor towel will be pushed away. The seal between the toilet and the shower room door is average, and the bathroom door is not closed tightly. If the shower head accidentally splashes on the door, water will stay out. I suggest that the boss can find a way to improve it. Overall, I am very satisfied! I will choose this one next time I go.

The biggest advantage of this store is of course its location, as it is located in the ancient city’s bell tower scenic area. When I arrived at the ancient city of Datong, I saw customers queuing up next to the hotel waiting for their number to be called at the internet-famous noodle shop ”Xijindao”, as well as the high-decibel noise of the surrounding shops using loudspeakers to attract customers. I suddenly felt a chill in my heart, and worried that I would not be able to sleep well in the next few days. Unexpectedly, after moving in, although the windows faced the downtown, the noise could not be heard as long as the windows were closed. The soundproof windows had a very high coefficient. I felt relieved immediately (in fact, the noise from the crowds died down after 9:30 pm). The sound insulation between the room next door is not very good, if the other party speaks loudly, we will hear it. Maybe the partitions in the old house can’t completely block it off! The store's service attitude is super good and super friendly. Because I was traveling alone, I originally booked the smallest room online, but the hotel took the initiative to upgrade me to a larger room. I am very grateful. Moreover, the staff at the counter are very friendly to the customers, just like the older brothers and sisters next door, and their enthusiasm is not at all pretentious. The facilities in the room are also very clean and generous, with great attention to detail. There is also a washing machine available on the first floor. At this price, it is very good. The downside for me is that there is no breakfast which is a little annoying. The restaurants nearby are all popular online restaurants in tourist attractions. The earliest one to open is ”Xijindao” at 7 o'clock, but it is not good to eat knife-cut noodles every day. It is difficult to have porridge, steamed buns, etc. for breakfast, as you have to walk to a residential area far away. Also, there is no larger supermarket nearby, so if you want to buy some fruit you have to go outside the scenic area. But this is a good thing but it cannot be fully enjoyed. After all, being able to take a walk in front of the Huayan Temple every morning or take a look at the tranquility and leisure of the Grand Mosque next to it are all worth it.

We booked three rooms in total. As the elders and children had different requirements, we adjusted the rooms after describing them to the boss. The boss and his wife were both warm and considerate. You can see that they put a lot of thought into the decoration and room configuration. The room was very big and very warm in winter. The side dishes made by the boss in the morning, including millet porridge and knife-cut noodles, were very delicious and warming, suitable for our family's appetite. The quality of the disposable items and toiletries in the room was very good, no less than that of a five-star hotel. As there were many of us, the boss came to pick us up. The location is also very good, right in the new B&B area behind Dai Wangfu, quiet and convenient. You can walk to the ancient city where there are many places to eat, drink and have fun. It is also very close to Dai Wangfu, Nine Dragon Wall and Yanhua Temple. I am very satisfied and may choose to stay here for a day next time I come.

The room was very clean and tidy, the facilities were very new, and the bathroom was dry and wet to wash. The bed was large and comfortable and slept very well. There is also a gym and laundry room downstairs, which is very convenient. The little brother at the front desk was very good, patiently solved the problem for us, and gave us directions. Datong is the first place to stay in Shanxi by car. This homestay really surprised me. Because the off-season was not set in advance, and there was no homework at all. The hotel was booked the night before departure. P people did not make plans, and the decision was made entirely by feeling, and there were always some small surprises. After arriving, the boss gave a room with a large courtyard. You can drink a small wine outside at night, and Datong is really not hot! It's too comfortable at night! The boss and the clerk are very enthusiastic. I also chatted with the boss in the small courtyard for a while at night. I hope that the city of Datong will get better and better. The homestay is very close to Shanhua Temple! I didn't do my homework at all. I passed by Shanhua Temple on the way to Huayan Temple and saw auspicious heavenly woman and a wall-filled mural. It is also p-person welfare. In short, if you go to Datong again, you will definitely continue to set this one! The boss's business is getting better and better ～

I decided to go to Datong two days before the May Day holiday. I looked at many B&Bs and hotels, but they were all fully booked. Unexpectedly, I was able to book this amazing B&B! The location is very good, quiet in a busy area, there is a parking space at the door, and you can stroll to the surrounding attractions from the inn. The room is clean and tidy, fragrant, simple and elegant decoration furniture is equipped with smart facilities, comfortable and convenient. The parent-child room has two beds, so both adults and children can have a good rest. There is also a bathtub and disposable bathtub bags, which the children like very much. The drinking water is directly bottled water from an instant drinking machine, which is cleaner and more hygienic than a kettle. Moreover, this bed is extremely comfortable to sleep on. My waist aches after a day of walking around, and this bed is very friendly to me. I am most afraid of soft mattresses, which make me feel more tired the more I sleep on them. The boss and his wife are super nice, warm and thoughtful. They will give you travel advice and remind you to put on more clothes when the temperature drops. You can also have tea and chat in the lobby when you come back, and they also give gifts to children. The breakfast was simple and exquisite, with noodles, millet porridge and some side dishes, it was very delicious. The boss said it is more comfortable to visit Shanxi in the summer to escape the heat, and there will be far fewer people than during the May Day holiday. In summer, you can have a barbecue and enjoy the cool air at the door of the inn. Datong is great, but unfortunately I had something to do and only spent two and a half days there.
