Magic Hotel

We had a brilliant stay at Magic Hotel Skiathos. From the moment we arrived, all the staff were so attentive, friendly, and nothing was ever too much trouble. We stayed in a deluxe double room on the top floor with the most amazing sea views. The room was spotless, serviced daily, and included a fridge with water on arrival (perfect for keeping refreshments cool throughout our stay). The spacious balcony had comfortable furniture and even a clothes dryer – a thoughtful touch. An added bonus was the mosquito repellent plug-in provided in the room. The pool area was a real highlight – peaceful, spotless, with plenty of sun loungers, towels, and umbrellas. Best of all, there was no “sunbed war” – you could always find a lounger at any time of day. The pool bar served great snacks and drinks throughout the day, which we really enjoyed. The View Restaurant at the hotel is probably the best in Agia Paraskevi. The menu has an excellent choice, the service is first class, and the food was fantastic – highly recommended. We also hired a quad bike for two days through Aegean Rental. It was delivered and collected directly to the hotel, making it so easy, and we had great fun exploring the island. A brilliant feature of the hotel is the free-to-use sunbeds and umbrellas available by reception, which you can take across the road to the beach. Such a clever and convenient idea. If you’re looking for a small, friendly boutique hotel with excellent service, then Magic Hotel is the perfect choice. Having worked in the travel industry for over 30 years and visited many leading hotels of the world, I can honestly say Magic Hotel is now one of my absolute favourites. Note: There is no lift in the hotel, so it may not be suitable for those with mobility issues

Ho soggiornato con il mio fidanzato nel periodo centrale di agosto in una camera Deluxe Double con terrazzo e vista mare. Camera confortevole, letto comodo, insonorizzazione ottima e vista molto bella. Bagno un po’ datato e pulizia non eccellente. Per raggiungere la camera abbiamo contato 130 scalini, quindi non proprio una passeggiata. A noi non è pesato poiché in coppia e atletici ma può essere davvero un problema per famiglie o persone con disabilità. Colazione nella norma, nulla di particolare (non esiste il latte senza lattosio). Posizione dell’hotel davvero eccellente: vicinissimo a ristoranti buonissimi, alla spiaggia Agia Paraskevia che è pazzesca (soprattutto l’ultimo lido in fondo a sinistra) e alla fermata del bus che permette di spostarsi senza noleggiare mezzi. Purtroppo il personale non è molto cordiale, almeno con noi, molto freddi e poco interessati alle esigenze dei clienti. Una cosa in particolare mi ha colpito: nemmeno un saluto e un ringraziamento alla nostra partenza. In conclusione qualità/prezzo non coerenti con un 4 stelle. L’arredo interno è un mix tra vecchio e nuovo senza uno stile ben definito che lo rende un po’ caotico alla vista e senza senso. Al massimo merita 3 stelle

What a lovely hotel, certainly worthy of 4 star rating. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, attended to our every need including sorting hire car, getting luggage up and down the many steps from the room at the top which was really clean and serviced daily. Balcony view was one of the best over the bay. The breakfast buffet had a wonderful choice of anything that you could wish for, even omelettes and scrambled eggs if you asked. The restaurant was equally good in the evening, we ate there twice as its namesake “the view” is enviable. The menu was a little different to the traditional Greek offerings from the local tervernas so made it something different. Special thanks to Julian and Jimmy in the restaurant whose service and smile made us feel very welcome, their attention to detail was second to none. The many steps to the rooms could be a challenge to those with mobility issues but this goes with most of the hotels on Skiathos as they are built on the hillside not just this hotel. All in all a great stay 10/10 Kevin & Nikki x
